Paul Leyden Simon, As the World Turns How do you feel about shirtless scenes? "They have to justify very strongly to me why it's happening before I take my shirt off. If it adds to the scene, then I agree with it, but if it's purely for beekcake appeal, I'm not interested. One of the sexiest scenes ever in film is in "The Piano", where Harvey Keitel is under the piano, finds a hole in [Holly Hunter's] stocking and just touches her skin. There was no nudity in that, and it was sexy. It was high-powered sexual tension, which is better than shirts-off thrusting." What is your best quality? "My sense of humor. People are obviously going to judge you by your looks, but they forget that pretty quickly. To me, it's all about sense of humor and not taking myself seriously. That's what I find sexy in someone." Is your accent an asset in meeting women? "I think the women in New York are predatory, anyway. If they like the way you look, they'll come up and want a piece of you. When they hear the accent, I guess that's more of an appeal, but it's not like I use it to my advantage.
