SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, HENRY COLEMAN
>> Simon: All right, honey.
[ Katie groans ] careful. You're almost there, you're almost there.
>> Katie: No. I'm not ready to go back to that bed -- unless of course you're there.
>> Simon: Yeah, well, I'll get into bed with you as long as you remove that bedpan.
>> Katie: Ow.
>> Simon: Sorry. Sorry.
>> Katie: No, no, it's okay. The more I laugh, the sooner I'll get out of here and be back in my own bed. What happened to your thumb?
>> Simon: Oh, nothing really. Just a little disagreement with a hammer.
>> Katie: You've been working on our cottage?
>> Simon: Yes, I have.
>> Katie: Aw.
>> Simon: When you come home, it's to a proper bed, off the floor, in a real bedroom.
>> Katie: I miss us.
>> Simon: You'll be home soon.
[ Henry watching Simon and Katie kissing. ]
Scene 2:
Scene: Hallway Outside Katie Frasier's Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, HENRY COLEMAN
[ Henry watching. ]
>> Katie: Hey. I was supposed to help you.
>> Simon: Trust me, I'm gonna put you to work as soon as you get home, so you get all the rest you can right now.
>> Katie: Okay, good. But you'll still be there to help me?
>> Simon: I'm not going anywhere.
>> Katie: Not that I'm trying to clip your wings or, you know, take away your freedom or anything.
>> Simon: Look, I've already had this discussion with Craig. I mean, he accused me of having a mistress.
>> Katie: What?
>> Simon: Yeah. He said I was in love with adventure. If I didn't cool it, then I would lose the best thing that ever happened to me.
>> Katie: Don't worry, I'll talk to him.
>> Simon: No. No, no, no, don't. He was right.
>> Katie: Craig? My brother? Tall guy, nice suit?
>> Simon: Short temper. Yeah, that's the one. But he did apologize for that, but he is right. I've got to start putting you and me first.
>> Katie: You always put me first.
>> Simon: When I'm here. Which is why I'm gonna make a promise to you right now, Katie. I'm -- I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying put. From now on, it's
just gonna be you, me, a rabbit and a run-down cottage in the woods.
Scene 3:
Location: Oakdale Memorial Hospital
Scene: Margo Hughes' Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, LUCINDA WALSH, MARGO HUGHES, TOM HUGHES, HENRY COLEMAN
>> Katie: Oh, hello again! All the way to the sunroom and back!
>> Tom: Terrific. We're next.
>> Margo: Oh, wait, wait. Now, Lucinda --
>> Tom: -- Can take it up with Hal or Jack.
>> Lucinda: I could, but I'm not going to.
>> Tom: Margo is otherwise engaged.
>> Lucinda: Oh --
>> Margo: I -- I'll call you.
>> Tom: No, she won't.
>> Katie: Enjoy.
[ Tom and Margo leave. ]
>> Lucinda: You are wonderful, aren't you?
>> Katie: Oh --
>> Lucinda: Look at you. You're going to be turning cartwheels in a week.
>> Simon: She's doing great. She's doing great.
>> Lucinda: Um --
>> Simon: Lucinda, can I have a word with you --
>> Lucinda: Sure, absolutely.
>> Simon: -- Once I get Katie settled?
>> Katie: Oh, I'm fine, I'm fine.
>> Lucinda: Let him help you, darling. That's why he's here. And I'll wait outside.
[ Lucinda leaves. ]
>> Simon: Thank you. Katie, you gonna be okay for a couple of hours?
>> Katie: Yeah. I'm gonna go see a man about a bed, some pillows, some sheets.
>> Katie: Ooh, and a big fluffy comforter with a cover. Oh, and a nice little table for my glass of water.
>> Simon: Okay, fine.
>> Katie: Use the butt buster account.
>> Simon: No, that's yours.
>> Katie: What? That's what it's there for.
>> Simon: No, it's your nest egg.
>> Katie: No, it's our nest egg, and what's nestier than a big floofy comforter?
>> Simon: Oh, I don't know, maybe a couple of little ones to go with it?
>> Katie: What?
>> Simon: Did I just say that out loud?
>> Katie: I think you did.
>> Simon: Well, let's talk about that when you get better.
>> Katie: Oh, no. I think we should talk about that now.
>> Simon: Let's talk about that when you get better and you get home.
>> Katie: Hmm.
>> Simon: Okay.
>> Katie: Okay.
>> Simon: I love you.
>> Katie: I love you.
[ Simon meets Lucinda in the hallway outside Katie's room. ]
>> Simon: Lucinda, thanks for waiting.
>> Lucinda: Darling, it's my pleasure. And it's just extraordinary how she looks.
>> Simon: I know, she's doing great.
>> Lucinda: And it's a proven fact now, she is generous to a fault.
>> Simon: That, too. And the doctor said she could be home within a week, but I really don't want her coming home to the cottage the way it stands.
>> Lucinda: Is it still standing?
>> Simon: Yes, it is -- just. But I need the money that you owe me from Avanya.
>> Lucinda: What money?
>> Simon: The money that you promised me for bailing out Paul and Rose, for helping you out.
>> Lucinda: But I paid you. I paid you thousands of dollars.
[ Henry is listening to Simon and Lucinda's conversation. ]
>> Simon: Okay, you paid me for Paul, but that money got stolen, and you know it. You're not gonna weasel your way out of this one.
>> Lucinda: Why are you using that word "weasel" to me after all that we've been through, for heaven's sake. As a matter of fact, though, you could do
something for me right now. You know, you could find Henry and bring him in, because as I understand it, he's wanted for jumping his bail.
>> Simon: Why Henry? He helped you out in Avanya, didn't he?
>> Lucinda: Leverage. If he wants my help, darling, then he's got to honor the deals that we make.
>> Simon: Listen, Lucinda, I'm no enforcer. All I want to do is go home, get the money that you owe me, go home, work on the cottage.
>> Lucinda: You're gonna get it, of course.
>> Simon: That's what I want to do.
>> Lucinda: You're going to get your money. This is just -- this is -- it's a bonus -- a substantial bonus.
>> Simon: Substantial --
>> Lucinda: Yes.
>> Simon: Bonus. All right, done.
>> Lucinda: You don't trust me?
>> Simon: No, no, I don't. No, I don't, at all.
>> Lucinda: You don't trust me?!
>> Simon: No, I don't.
[ Lucinda hugs Simon. ]
>> Lucinda: Hey, give me that again. [ Lucinda hugs Simon again. ] All right, and that's for your -- that's for your very brave, special wife.
