Scene 1:
Location: Oakdale Police Department Precinct Station
Scene: Jail

LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND OFFICER SHANKS

>> Lily: Rose, you're lucky that you have those bars between us, because if I -- Simon.
>> Simon: I never thought I'd see you again.
>> Lily: What are you doing here?
>> Simon: A small charge of auto theft. That truck I stole in Beaver Cove to hunt down you and Celia.
>> Lily: What? You saved my life.
>> Simon: Yeah, well, that's what I'll tell the Mounties.
>> Lily: So are they going to extradite you back to Canada? How did they know where to find you?
>> Simon: They must have been tipped off.
>> Lily: Holden -
[Officer Shanks enters the room]
>> Shanks: Hey, what is it with you, huh?
>> Lily: I was just talking to Simon.
>> Shanks: Save it, Rose. You're not busting out of jail.
>> Lily: I'm not Rose, I'm Lily!
>> Shanks: Ah, yeah, yeah. You're not going to make a fool of me again.
>> Lily: No, I'm Lily, I swear!
>> Simon: She's telling the truth!
>> Shanks: Hey, I'm not talking to you, pal.
>> Lily: I brought a box of Rose's things over here to give them to her. That proves that I'm the real Lily Snyder.
>> Shanks: Yeah, all that proves is that whoever gave you that box didn't have the guts to stick around, did they? I'm just gonna confiscate that, okay?
>> Lily: Go right ahead. And call Lucinda Walsh while you're at it. My mother. Okay?
>> Shanks: Oh, yeah, that's a good one.
>> Lily: I'm sorry. I'm so -- I'm sorry.
>> Simon: What for?
>> Lily: Because every time you run into me, you get stuck somewhere.
>> Simon: I'm not complaining about being stuck here. Not if it means one more chance of being with you.
>> Lily: I don't know how to act anymore. Things have been --
>> Simon: Hey, tell me. Tell me.
>> Lily: Am I just a blank slate? Nobody here in Oakdale -- not my mother, my husband, know me deeply enough or well enough. This is exactly what I was afraid of. Remember back on the island, I said to you I couldn't believe - - I couldn't even imagine how some complete stranger could just walk into my life and take it over. I still can't believe it.
>> Simon: They saw what they expected to see. A mother, a wife, a daughter.
>> Lily: Who do you see?
>> Simon: I see you. Strong, brave, intelligent, loving, caring, you.
>> Lily: Then Rose must have those same qualities.
>> Simon: Yeah? Well, if she does, she doesn't wear them as well as you.
>> Lily: Would you have known it wasn't me?
>> Simon: I've spent every day and night longing to touch you. I could never forget what it was like to just feel you. For one moment. One brief, all-consuming moment, you were in my arms, and the whole world fell away. I remember that better than anything that has ever happened or ever will. And if the people out there are so stupid that they forget what's really important, what's real -- you just remember -
>> Lily: What?
>> Simon: Just remem -- this.
[Simon reaches through the cell bars, pulls Lily close and kisses her.]

Scene 2:
Location: Oakdale Police Department Precinct Station
Scene: Jail

SIMON FRASIER AND LILY WALSH SNYDER

>> Simon: This is insane.
>> Lily: Oh, yeah.
>> Simon: I don't want to let you go.
>> Lily: Then don't.

[Lily and Simon kiss as LUCINDA WALSH enters]
>> Lucinda: What on earth is going on?
