Scene: Simon Frasier's Room

LILY WALSH SNYDER ALONE

[Knocking on door.]
>> Lily: Simon? Simon? Oh, no. Oh, no. No. He can't be gone.

Scene 2:
Location: Lakeview Towers Hotel
Scene: Simon Frasier's hotel room

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER

>> Lily: Oh -- Simon.
>> Simon: Wow, and they say wishes don't come true. I can't get you off my mind.
>> Lily: That makes two of us. What -- what have you been doing?
>> Simon: Out defending your honor.
>> Lily: What?
>> Simon: Kidding. Kidding. Actually, I was out defending my own.
>> Lily: What is that? Is it oil?
>> Simon: Ah -- yeah. Yeah, I applied for a job as a -- as a grease monkey.
>> Lily: A mechanic? You're not supposed to take that term literally, you know.
>> Simon: Well, actually it's the way I feel right now, so don't get too close.
>> Lily: A mechanic? Where?
>> Simon: Part-time, it's at a little garage just out of town. Yeah. They gave me this challenge right off the bat. Start this car that looks as though it hadn't been running since the dawn of time, you know. But I got that baby purring like a kitten. You haven't been crying, have you? What's wrong?
>> Lily: I was afraid.
>> Simon: You? Afraid of what?
>> Lily: I was afraid that you'd left me.
>> Simon: You thought I would just leave town without saying good-bye to you? Come on, you know me better than that by now. Hey, what's all this? You're gonna get grease all over you. You won't be able to wash out the stains forever.
>> Lily: I don't care.
>> Simon: Lily, I'm not a very patient man and you're not making this wait any easier for me.
>> Lily: You didn't have to do that.
>> Simon: What, kiss you?
>> Lily: Take the job.
>> Simon: You know what they say about idle hands -- look, I've gotta keep myself busy or else I'm gonna get myself into all sorts of trouble.
>> Lily: You know what I mean.
>> Simon: I'm not gonna live off your money. I didn't get the job for you.
>> Lily: Well, then for who? For yourself? Do you have something to prove to the people here? What is --
>> Simon: How about we start with an easier question. Tell me, Lily, what possessed you to come back here?
>> Lily: I talked to Holden. I told him that I asked you to stay.

Location: Lakeview Towers Hotel
Scene: Simon Frasier's Hotel Room

SIMON FRASIER AND LILY WALSH SNYDER

>> Simon: After being inseparable on that island, I'm now a daily annoyance to you here in Oakdale, do you really think I'm gonna let go of you now?
>> Lily: I just need time to clear my head and my heart
>> Simon: Which should be easy now with Holden out of the place.
>> Lily: It's not about Holden. It's not -- it's everybody else in this town. Everybody looks at me, I can see it in their eyes. They're wondering, "Is that Lily or is it the other one?" That woman completely destroyed my life.
>> Simon: I know. But she's easily disposed of, isn't she? Just put her on a bus and ship her out of town.
>> Lily: It's not that easy. She's staying at my mother's now.
>> Simon: What, she's living there?
>> Lily: Lucinda told me today that Rose and I are twins.
>> Simon: Twins? Oh, yeah right. When did rose come up with that one?
>> Lily: It's the truth. She's my twin.
>> Simon: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Lily, I don't know anyone that resembles you less than Rose.
>> Lily: Thank you. Thank you. Why can't everybody else see that? Why does Lucinda -- she just wants me to forgive and forget and just move on.
>> Simon: All right, okay. What do you want?
>> Lily: I have -- I have to take my kids away. I have to take them to a safe place where nothing can be stolen from me again. You understand that. You're the only person on earth who does.

Scene 4:
Location: Lakeview Towers Hotel
Scene: Simon Frasier's Hotel Room

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: Don't you think I wish I could just say that this was my choice. And I could just move on with my life.
>> Simon: But that life doesn't exist anymore, does it?
>> Lily: But the people in it do. Luke and Faith and --
>> Simon: And Holden. I'm sorry. If you spend half your life with somebody, you cannot just -- I know. Lily, I know. I know. I know.
>> Lily: I just need to get away for a little while. Please -- please tell me that you'll wait.
>> Simon: Of course I'll wait. I'll wait on one condition, that when you return from the cottage, you'll have reached a decision. Your final decision.

Scene 5:
Location: Lakeview Towers Hotel
Scene: Simon Frasier's Hotel Room

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: You're asking me to make a decision about my entire life in a few days. That's not a very long time.
>> Simon: Look, some people would say that you already know the answer. All you need now is the courage to follow your heart.
>> Lily: It's not that easy.
>> Simon: I know. I know. But it's not easy being apart from you either. Now I won't sneak around behind people's backs, and I don't want to confuse your kids.
>> Lily: How do you know what you want? How do you know that it's me that you want?
>> Simon: Because I love you. And I want to spend the rest of my life loving you, making you happy. So when you come back, you're either coming back to be with me or your coming back to just say good-bye.
>> Lily: How can we say good-bye?
>> Simon: It's the only -- it's the only way. Now promise?
>> Lily: I promise.
