Scene 1:
Place: Oakdale International Airport
Location: Terminal

LILY SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: Simon? Hey.
>> Simon: Hey. I was just thinking about you. I'm so glad to see you. I didn't think I'd see you before I went.
>> Lily: Please don't go.
>>Simon: It's best isn't it?
>> Lily: For who?
>> Simon: For everyone.
>>Lily: I don't believe that.
>>Simon: Lily, then what do you believe?
>> Lily: I don't know. All I know is that I want you to stay.
>> Simon: And your husband wants me so gone.
>> Lily: He's angry, but that does not give him the right to kick you out of my life.
[Simon's flight is announced]
>> Simon: Look, that's me.
>> Lily: Stay, please, stay.
>> Simon: Lily, I have destroyed everything you had. Your home, you marriage, you almost lost your life.
>> Lily: But you gave me back much more than you took. A lot more. Look, don't ask me to be rational right now and solve every problem and put it into one nice little package. I just know that I can't let you walk out of my life. Not now.

Scene 2:
Place: Oakdale International Airport
Location: Terminal

LILY SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: All the way over here I was wondering, where did you go? Did you hitch a ride, did you get on a train...
>> Simon: You're shaking.
>> Lily: .....how could I find you?
>> Simon: Lily, I have to go.
>> Lily: Just stay. Please, just get another flight.
>> Simon: It's not going to change things. Lily, coming home to Holden and your kids is what kept you going. I know things are different right now, but you're going to get past all that.
>> Lily: Will I? Everything's changed, Simon. I've changed. If I let you get on that plane I'm losing the one person who really knows who I am. Not the Lily that could be so easily replaced, not the heiress, not the woman who had the perfect family. I'm not that woman anymore. I survived when I thought I'd lost everything. I got stronger. I trusted myself. And you're the only person who could see that in me. When Holden told me you had taken off, I knew I had to find you, and make you stay.
>> Simon: I don't even have a place to stay tonight.
>> Lily: We'll figure something out.
>> Simon: Yeah, not where I stayed before, obviously.
>> Lily: I own a hotel. Please, please stay for one night. Just so we can figure out where we go from her.

Scene 3:
Place: Oakdale International Airport
Location: Terminal

LILY SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Simon: Lily, you just bought my way out of jail. It's not right that you put me up in a hotel. Oh...and especially after I accused Holden of living off your money.
>> Lily: You what?
>> Simon: Yes, things got out of line. Lily, if I have to accept that Holden is married to you, I will. But we don't like each other, and things get ugly between us.
>> Lily: He doesn't understand why I bailed you out.
>> Simon: Do you?
>> Lily: Not completely. I know this is unfair, I know. asking you to put your life on hold when I have absolutely nothing to offer you, but....look at me. I feel like I'm drowning. Simon, I don't know why I'm want you to stay. I don't have a list of reasons. But there's this voice inside me that's screaming..and it's telling me that if you leave me here, I'm going to go under for the last time.
>> Simon: No, no you won't. You are way too stong for that.
>> Lily: You gave me the strength.
>> Simon: I did not! No one can give you something you already have. I noticed that strength the first time we met.
>> Lily: When we met I was living by my husband's rules....and my mother's rules, and it wasn't until all that was taken away that I found out who I really am. No safety net. I wasn't afraid anymore. I was strong. It wasn't until I came back here that I had that fear again. It was creeping back into my life. I don't fit in here.
>> Simon: You will. You'll find out how, and you will. You can do anything, Lily. You made the best of that situation on the island by hoping and believing and never losing sight of your dreams. You said so yourself you became the woman who learned to have faith in herself.
>> Lily: But you're the only one who sees that in me. Simon look, I..I can't go back. I can't. But I don't know how to go forward.
>> Simon: Look at me. Do you want your marriage to work? Because if you do, asking me to stay is a huge mistake.
>> Lily: Then why does it seem so right?
>> Simon: You already have people so many people already here that care about you.
>> Lily: All of them..all of them fell for Rose's act.
>> Simon: You still have yourself.
>> Lily: What if it's not enough?
>> Simon: Oh come on. It is. Live your life, Lily....by your own rules from now on.
>> Lily: Stay. Please stay. Please stay and show me how.
>> Simon: I don't have to. You already know how. Look, remember those first few hours on the island. We were terrified that we wouldn't survive, but we took it slow. We let ourselves make mistakes. We took it day by day, and that's what you have to do now. Don't rush things. Go by your own instincts and damn the consequenses. [The final call is made for Simon's flight.] I have to go.
>> Lily: Just listen. Please. Just one night. Just help me get through the next few hours. I know in my heart that if I let you get on that plane, I'll be losing a part of myself. I know that sounds crazy, but that's how I feel.
>> Simon: Alright. One night.
>> Lily: Thank you. Thank you.
[Lily hugs Simon.]

Scene 3:
Place: Hotel Room at the Lakeview Towers

SIMON FRASIER AND LILY SNYDER

[Simon is alone and hears a knock on the door]
>> Simon: Hi.
>> Lily: How did things go at check-in?
>> Simon: Good. Good, I just gave them my name and the desk clerk said you'd arranged everything.
>> Lily: You OK?
>> Simon: Yeah. Hey this sure beats the last few places I've lived in. Nothing crawling on the floor, no spiders on the wall..
>> Lily: That's not what I meant.
>> Simon: Lily, why didn't you drive here with me? Appearances?
>> Lily: Everyone knows me here, Simon.
>> Simon: So? So they assume what? That we're friends, lovers?
>> Lily: I don't know?
>> Simon: What do you care what a bunch of stangers think?
>> Lily: I don't.
>> Simon: Then tell me once more why I'm here Lily. Why couldn't you let me go?

Scene 4:
Place: Hotel Room at the Oakdale Towers

SIMON FRASIER AND LILY SNYDER

>> Simon: Come on, I need to now how you feel. About me. About us.
>> Lily: I'm angry. Holden is angry. My entire family looks like they've been caught in the headlights. They don't know what is going to happen next. Everybody's waiting. It just seems....it doesn't make any sense.
>> Simon: In other words, I want answers that you don't have.
>> Lily: Simon, everything that I counted on, everything that I believed in, everything that I fought so hard to come home to is a marage. My own son. He looks at me, he's so confused. It's like he's supposed to know who I am, but for some reason he doesn't. He doesn't remember me. My voice is a little different from hers. Her hair feels a little different. I kiss him goodnight in a different way. I just want to hold him and I want to tell him that I'm his mother, me...not her.
>> Simon: I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine. That must hurt like hell. But this isn't about Rose. This is about us, Lily. I need to know what I am to you. What am I? A friend? A sympathetic ear?
>> Lily: You're Simon.
>> Simon: What does that mean? I love you Lily, and I want you in my life. Now I need to know right now. Is there a chance for us or not?

Scene 5:
Place: Hotel Room at the Lakeview Towers

SIMON FRASIER AND LILY SNYDER

>> Lily: You want me to choose between you and my family. Right here. Right now. At this very moment.
>> Simon: I'm saying something special started between us on that island. Something you don't seem to want to give up.
>> Lily: I have an entire life...
>> Simon: Yes, one that went on perfectly well without you. I'm sorry, but you said so yourself. Lily, what if Holden weren't in the picture? What if there weren't any kids?
>> Lily: There are.
>> Simon: OK. Hypothetically, just for a moment. Please. Think about yourself. What do you want?
>> Lily: I can't do that. I can't separate my life into little pieces. It's easier for you because you don't have a family.
>> Simon: No. No I don't. Celia was right about me, Lily. I lived from one absurd adventure to another. No commitments, no goals. I just went where life took me. But then I found out about that diamond. I thought, this is it, you know. This could really turn things around for me, because I wanted my life to count for something. And that diamond just got all tied up in the kind of man I wanted to become. And that's why it was so easy to lie to you, and so easy to put your life into danger. Because nothing could stop me from grabbing that brass ring. But then the whole dream just changed.
>> Lily: Changed how?
>> Simon: You. You became more important to me than any diamond. Somewhere along the line, and I just can't remember the exact moment, but I found something worth living for that couldn't be measured in dollars and cents. I fell in love, Lily. For the first time in my entire life. Losing that diamond means nothing, but if I lose you....
>> Lily: So you need me to choose.
>> Simon: Yes, that's exactly what I need. Let's not just drag this thing out. Right here, right now. I want to know. Do you want to be with me or not?
>> Lily: This is too much. I can't do this right now. I just can't.
>> Simon: Lily. For the first time in my entire life everything is just so clear. Everything, everything I have ever wanted is standing here in front of me. It's just so close.
>> Lily: But you are demanding that I choose the rest of my life, right now, right here in this room.
>> Simon: I can't stay if I'm going to lose you to another man.
>> Lily: I can't. I can't make this decision right now. I haven't been home for very long. I have to spend more time with my children and with Holden. I can't make this choice right now. I just can't.
[Lily walks out of the room.]

Scene 6:
Place: Hotel Room at the Oakdale Towers

SIMON FRASIER AND LILY SNYDER

[Simon on the phone.]
>> Simon: Yes, this is Simon Frasier in room 503. I'll be checking out in about five minutes. No, that's OK. I don't have any baggage.
[There's a knock on the door and Simon opens it to find Lily standing outside.]
>> Lily: I'm sorry.
>> Simon: No, I pushed you. No, you go ahead.
>> Lily: No more words.
[Lily kisses Simon and they walk together to the bed.]
