>> Simon: Carly wouldn't go to the cops.
>> Spirro: Maybe she didn't like the number my boys did on your ribcage.
>> Simon: Her ex is a cop. She's in and out of the police station all the time. It has nothing to do with you.
>> Spirro: So why was I hauled in? To talk about the weather? Snyder's got it in for me. But the next time he leans on me, I lean on your girl.
>> Simon: Your business is with me, not her. Just stay away from her.
>> Spirro: Put her on a short leash, Frasier, or you and your lady friend will leave our next party in a body bag built for two.

Scene: Lakeview Towers Hotel Room
CARLY SNYDER, KATIE KASNOFF
>> Carly: I hope you didn't need to use that credit card today.
>> Katie: Carly, what are you doing here?
>> Carly: Why is it your business?
>> Katie: Because I'd hate to see you to get caught up in something crazy.
>> Carly: You mean caught up with Simon.
>> Katie: You said it was over.
>> Carly: Well, it was. And now it's not.
>> Katie: Oh, come on, you know that Simon lies like it's his job. I mean, I'm not trying to tell you how to run your life --
>> Carly: Yes, right, so I see.
>> Katie: But I thought you were going to walk away before things got worse.
>> Carly: Worse? Worse than what? And Katie, if you've walked away from Simon, you certainly haven't gotten very far, have you?
>> Katie: Listen, I know better than anyone that Simon can make things seem new and exciting, but you always turn a corner with him, and they're not fun anymore, and they're not exciting, they're dangerous.
>> Carly: Ahh, well, thank you. Thank you for the warning.
>> Katie: Unless things have already gone too far.
>> Carly: Too far?
>> Katie: You know what I mean.
>> Carly: Hmm. Well, you know something? It's my turn to ask a question, okay? Does Mike know you're here?
>> Katie: Mike is just as worried about you as I am. You know he doesn't trust Simon.
>> Carly: Come on, Katie. You're not afraid that I'm going to end up in the river. You're afraid that I'm the reason it's finally over between you and a man you're not even supposed to care about anymore. But you do.
Scene 3:

Scene: Lakeview Towers Hotel Room
CARLY SNYDER, KATIE KASNOFF
>> Carly: This is going to a very weird place, Katie.
>> Katie: I just want to know that you're not in trouble!
>> Carly: You want to know if I'm having sex with Simon! So why don't you just ask me? And don't talk in circles and don't come sneaking in here looking for some kind of evidence. What exactly are you looking for, anyway?
>> Katie: That's not really an answer.
>> Carly: You want an answer? Here's your answer. I am not sleeping with Simon, okay? A few things got in the way, like an electrical tower that crashed into our building and a few other things that I'd rather not discuss at the present time, if you don't mind.
>> Katie: So you mean that you would, like you'd want to?
>> Carly: Do you want to, Katie?
>> Katie: I'm married.
>> Carly: That explains the visit.
>> Katie: I wouldn't expect you to understand.
>> Carly: I do. I do understand. I know how hard it is to let go. When I thought that Jack was seeing someone else, I got this feeling. It's hard to explain it. It's not hurt, and it's not jealousy. It's just that -- that something's wrong, and you can't pin it down. And all you know is that you feel left behind when you've already moved on anyway.
>> Katie: That's it, that's it.
>> Carly: You don't want Simon, Katie. You don't really. You just don't want anybody else to have him.
Scene 4:

Scene: Lakeview Towers Hotel Lounge
SIMON FRASIER, SPIRRO & FRIENDS
>> Simon: All right. Carly's working for me, Spirro, not the cops.
>> Spirro: I don't want to have to look for wires on that broad, understand?
>> Simon: All right, Spirro, you watch too many movies, my friend. She didn't talk.
>> Spirro: The way I figure it, my unexpected trip to the police station just doubled your interest.
>> Simon: What are you -- okay, you are officially insane, because there is no way I can pay that kind of money back.
>> Spirro: You keep your girlfriend away from the cops, or I take my pound of flesh any way I can get it. You got me?
Scene 5:
Location: Oakdale
Scene: Lakeview Towers Hotel Room
CARLY SNYDER, KATIE KASNOFF
>> Carly: So where does Mike fit into all of this? I thought that you guys were planning on starting a family. You said that you were very excited about that.
>> Katie: I am. I love Mike.
>> Carly: But you still love Simon, too?
>> Katie: I don't know, it's just not that simple.
>> Carly: Well, you better make it simple. You're having trouble getting over your first love. But if you don't, you could lose your forever love. You better decide if whatever feelings you have left for Simon are worth losing Mike.
[ Cell phone ringing ] Hello? Yes, what's up? What? I'm on my way.
>> Katie: What's wrong?
>> Carly: I gotta go.
>> Katie: Carly, wait!
Scene 6:
Location: Oakdale
Scene: Lakeview Towers Hotel Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE KASNOFF
[ Katie screaming ]
>> Katie: Are you crazy? You could have hurt me.
>> Simon: All right, what are you doing here? Where's Carly?
>> Katie: She left.
>> Simon: Alone?
>> Katie: Yeah, she ran out of here like the place was on fire.
>> Simon: Why?
>> Katie: She got a call from someone.
>> Simon: Okay, from who?
>> Katie: I don't know!
>> Simon: Okay, can you please just think? Was she scared? Was she upset?
>> Katie: Yeah, she was really upset.
>> Simon: Was the place like this when you got here? Was it? All right, you know what? Forget it. I'll go and find her myself. But please, Katie, will you get out of here, and not come back? Please?
Scene 7:
Location: Oakdale
Scene: Lakeview Towers Hotel Room
SIMON FRASIER, SPIRRO
>> Simon: Carly, it's me again. I've been looking all over town for you. Where are you? Could you please, please call me as soon as you get this message? I just want to know that you're all right. I'll be on my cell. Thank you.
[ Simon remembering ]
>> Spirro: You keep your girlfriend away from the cops, or I take my pound of
flesh anyway I can get it. You got me?

Scene: Yo's
CARLY SNYDER, KATIE KASNOFF
>> Carly: Did you find what you were looking for at the hotel?
>> Katie: That call you got, it was about Hal, wasn't it?
>> Carly: Everything's about Hal today.
Scene 9:
Location: Oakdale
Scene: Police Department
SIMON FRASIER, OFFICER
>> Simon: Hey, listen, I'm looking for Carly Snyder. Have you seen her? [ Simon sees Carly, Mike, and Parker talking. ] Don't worry about it.
