Scene 1:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, CRAIG MONTGOMERY, KATIE FRASIER, HENRY COLEMAN

>> Simon: [ on the phone ] Look, are you sure you haven't seen Katie the last couple of days?
>> Craig: I have neither seen nor heard from her I. What's wrong? Did you lose her?
>> Simon: Do you have any idea where she might be?
>> Craig: Try the Oakdale police department. She's a frequent guest.
>> Simon: No, she hasn't been arrested. I already checked that. I've checked the hospital, the morgues.
>> Craig: Well, have you tried that little God-forsaken island in the middle of the Atlantic?
>> Simon: She's disappeared, Craig.
>> Craig: Leave her alone, and she will come home with her shopping bags and boxes behind her.
>> Simon: And you're not worried about her at all?
>> Craig: Katie always worries me. I'll see you later, Simon.
[ Henry and Katie watch from outside the window until they see Simon leave the cottage and then go inside ]
>> Henry: Thought he'd never leave.
>> Katie: Oh. I can't keep living like this, Henry.
>> Henry: Well, you can die trying, Katie. Actually, you know, after our time spent in that fleabag hotel in Peoria, this little hovel seems like the Four Seasons.
>> Katie: Well, I had to go someplace where Simon would never think of seeing me, okay? Of course, I wouldn't have had to go there in the first place if you hadn't brainwashed me into thinking that Simon was actually trying to kill me.
>> Henry: Oh, what happened to that oh-so-serene yet secure little hideout in a certain penthouse suite at The Lakeview? Whatever happened to that four-star room service and magnificent martinis, and the adorable way that they folded the tissue into those cunning little points? "Let us go there, you and I." Why do we have to come back here to the scene of the crime?!
>> Katie: Because I have to find something that connects Simon to either Dahlia's disappearance or -- Jill's murder. I have to know, once and for all, if the man of my dreams is a murderer.

Scene 2:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, HENRY COLEMAN

>> Katie: We're not gonna find anything. Because there's nothing to find. Simon is innocent.
>> Henry: No? That's what they said about Travis McDonald.
>> Katie: Who?
>> Henry: Oh, he was a gigolo, murderer, husband, widower. About four times over. That was until they found out -- ha, ha, ha! Bingo!
>> Katie: What, you found something?
>> Henry: It's worse than I thought.
>> Katie: What is it? A picture of me from Simon's toolbox. What does that prove?
>> Henry: I found the picture next to a hacksaw, Katie. Picture here, hacksaw here. Oh, come on! Wake up! This is the sickest thing I've ever seen --
>> Katie: Would you stop the drama, Henry? All right? God, you have to see a doctor.
>> Henry: You know, I was thinking the same thing about you. Denial may not be a river in Egypt, but it can be a fatal disease.
>> Katie: You were on that island way too long.
>> Henry: And whose fault was that?
>> Katie: Just stop changing the subject, all right? Simon keeps the picture of me in the toolbox because he loves having me around.
>> Henry: Katie, he's crazy!
>> Katie: He's crazy about me.
>> Simon: Yeah. And right now, he's wondering why.
>> Katie: Simon, we you doing here?
>> Simon: I live here. Spent the last couple of nights here. Which is more than I can say for you.
>> Henry: We saw you -- we saw you get in your car. We saw you speed off.
>> Simon: That was the plan, genius. What, I wasn't supposed to hear the two of you lurking around outside? Try being a little less obvious next time. So what's goin' on?
>> Henry: This was Katie's idea.
>> Katie: Henry!
>> Henry: Yeah, and it's -- it's a funny story, when you think about it. Little wifey here has it in her mind that she's married to an axe murderer!
>> Katie: He's lying.
>> Henry: Oh.
>> Katie: He practically kidnapped me, tried to talk against you, all because he can't stand other people being happy.
>> Henry: Now, that is beside the point.
>> Katie: The point is he has island madness. And I should have figure it out before. He's crazy!
>> Henry: Yeah, Katie maybe I am a little crazy after spending five days on the Atlantic out on a hollowed-out canoe. I'm crazy to get mixed up in anything.
>> Simon: I would like a few words with my wife, please, if you don't mind.
>> Henry: No. No, I don't mind that. I don't mind that at all.
>> Katie: Henry, just meet me out by the car.
>> Henry: I would love to, but you wouldn't believe my schedule --
>> Simon: You wouldn't believe what I can do with that hacksaw if you don't.
>> Henry: Well, tell you what -- I don't believe that Simon is a serial killer. Remember that.
>> Simon: So it's probably a good time to tell me now why you ran off. And why I found you and Henry in here and what you were looking for?
>> Katie: I was trying to find anything that would prove you had nothing to do with Jill or Dahlia's murders.
>> Simon: It's pretty hard to prove a negative, isn't it? You sure you weren't looking for something that proves it?

Scene 3:
Location:The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER

>> Katie: Why would I try to prove you guilty? You're my husband, and I love you.
>> Simon: And you had all the faith in the world in me. Until Jill Scully's body falls at your feet. I can see it in your eyes, Katie.
>> Katie: No, what you see is me struggling, struggling to try and figure out why you would lie to the police.
>> Simon: But I'm not -- I'm not lying to you! Okay? This is not a game. People are dying, Katie, your life is in danger. I don't know how else I can get it through your head! I can't believe you. Running off like that, sneaking around -- I had no idea where you were until I heard the two of you -- your voices outside.
>> Katie: You were worried about me?
>> Simon: Of course I was worried about you! We were planning on going away together so I could keep you safe. That's all I can think about at the moment, is keeping you safe! I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you. Don't you know that?
>> Katie: I know you're disappointed, and I'm sorry that you were worried about me. But come on! Any other wife would've took off as soon as that body hit the floor!
>> Simon: That's exactly what you did.
>> Katie: No, I did not run away. Henry and I went to some crummy motel and watched bad cable. I'm sorry. I was scared.
>> Simon: Well, if you feel safer with him than you do with me, then something is seriously wrong.
>> Katie: No, no. I just had to clear my mind.
>> Simon: You were trying to avoid me.
>> Katie: It was a panic, gut reaction. I'm sorry.
>> Simon: Well, maybe your instincts were right after all, Katie. Maybe you should run for your life. Before I kill you, too.

Scene 4:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER

>> Katie: Now that's ridiculous. Simon, you would never kill me. You would never even hurt me, so stop saying things like that.
>> Simon: Yeah, well, it doesn't matter what I say anymore, does it? Not if you believe that I killed Dahlia and then followed up with Jill Scully. Well, no wonder you think you're next on the list. It all adds up, doesn't it?
>> Katie: No, it doesn't.
>> Simon: Are you sure?
>> Katie: I'm just very confused, okay.
>> Simon: No. No, I think you know exactly what you're doing. I know about those fat checks that you've gotten from Dahlia's production company.
>> Katie: I told you about that first check.
>> Simon: Yeah, but you didn't tell me about the others. I found the deposit slips floating around the place after you ran off with your flaky friend.
>> Katie: Why are you checking out my bank account?
>> Simon: Because I was worried about you. You'd disappeared, Katie. I was looking for clues, anything to find a reason why you went missing. So can you imagine my surprise when I learned how wealthy my little wife is?
>> Katie: I was gonna tell you about those checks --
>> Simon: When? When, when? When? After I took a polygraph test? You know, what? It doesn't matter anymore, does it? Because it's over.
>> Katie: What's over?
>> Simon: Everything, Katie. The marriage, the honeymoon, us. 'Cause if you're sneaking around like this, because if you look in my eyes with fear instead of love, Dahlia's already won.

Scene 5:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER

>> Katie: No, Simon, you're wrong. Dahlia hasn't won anything.
>> Simon: Yeah? When all I wanted to do was protect you, you ran away from me. Now I come back here and find you sneaking around, trying to get the goods on me.
>> Katie: No, if you think that that's what I was trying to do, you're --
>> Simon: Then level with me. Level with me, Katie. Where would you be right now if I hadn't come back here and found you here, huh? On the run? Trying to escape me? Filing for divorce? Huh, or maybe you'd just call your big sister up and rat me out to the police?
>> Katie: Do you really think that I would do that?
>> Simon: Do you really think I'm a killer? It's simple, Katie. Either you know that I'm a murderer or you know I'm an innocent man.
>> Katie: I know what I know.
>> Simon: Which is it then, huh? Am I guilty? Am I the killer? Yeah. Maybe that's what I've been doing, sitting around the last few days, maybe weeks, maybe even months, plotting a way to take you out.

Scene 6:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER

>> Simon: I'm trying to scare you into reality. Jill Scully tells you that your life is in danger, then she winds up dead. Do the math, Katie, please! Just take this seriously!
>> Katie: I do.
>> Simon: Then start acting on it!
>> Katie: Okay, okay. You know what? You're right. It was stupid of me to run off like that.
>> Simon: Why did you do it?
>> Katie: A dead body fell at my feet, and then all of a sudden, you're lying to the police. I don't know, I freaked! I came home, Henry was here, I lost my mind.
>> Simon: You lost faith in me.
>> Katie: That doesn't mean I ever stopped loving you.
>> Simon: No, maybe you love me, but you don't trust me anymore. I do not know how I could prove to you or the cops that I'm not responsible for any of this.
>> Katie: So what do we do now?
>> Simon: I don't know. But you know, I think the best thing for you to do is just to take care of yourself.
>> Katie: How?
>> Simon: Well, you don't trust me, so you can't trust anyone. Stay away from Henry. Stay away from anywhere where Dahlia might find you. And you know, Katie, most importantly, stay away from me.
