LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Lily: I am not threatened by you, rose. Don't kid yourself.
>> Rose: Who's kiddin' who? You got some guy running around after you and you're trying to keep him away from me -- but you're not jealous of my looks. Right.
>> Lily: This is not personal, Rose. It's about the picture. The picture that he showed me that looks exactly like the one that you have.
>> Rose: Yeah, yeah. The woman who's the spittin' image of me.
>> Lily: And me. He showed up in Oakdale out of the blue.
>> Rose: So go on. What's his story?
>> Lily: I wish I knew. All I know is that he is from Australia and his name is Simon Frasier.
>> Rose: Simon Frasier, Simon Frasier -- no, it's not ringing any bells. I'm not that familiar with too many guys from down under. So what is the story with you two?
>> Lily: I don't know what you mean.
>> Rose: You know, what does the mystery man want out of you?
>> Lily: This is what I'm trying to figure out. Whatever it is, it has something to do with that photograph. He's the one that showed it to me in the first place.
>> Rose: Let me review the bidding. This guy tracks you down in nowhere, Illinois, from from kangaroo country, which is a heck of a shlep, all the way to Atlantic City and he won't tell you why and he won't leave you alone?
>> Lily: He's like this awful shadow. Every time I turn around, he's over my shoulder. I couldn't get rid of him until this morning.
>> Rose: Uh-huh. So you -- you distracted him all night?
>> Lily: It's not what you think.
>> Rose: Yeah. Somebody like you -- it probably never is what you think. You gotta get out more. You gotta live a little bit.
>> Lily: Listen to me. Simon will wake up any minute, and when he realizes that I am gone, he will scour this place from top to bottom until he finds me. If he finds another woman who looks exactly like the woman in that picture, there's no telling what he might do.
>> Rose: What he might do, what he might want -- he's after something, but what? You don't know much of anything, do you?
>> Lily: No. Do you have any ideas?
>> Rose: I got the solution. Ask him.
>> Lily: I've already tried that -- every way that I know how. Simon will not tell me a thing.
>> Rose: No offense, but maybe your technique is a little rusty.
>> Lily: Well, maybe you'll get a shot at him yourself and you can show me where I went wrong.

Scene 3:
Scene: Lily Walsh Snyder's hotel room.

SIMON FRAISER ALONE.

[Simon wakes up.]

>> Simon: Lily -- I should've tied a bell to her.

[Simon leaves the room.]

Scene 4:
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel
Scene: Lobby.

SIMON FRASIER AND A CONCIERGE

>> Simon: Hey, buddy, is the showroom open yet?
>> Concierge: No, sir, not yet.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Lily: I don't know what Simon is looking for, but I do know that I need your help.
>> Rose: You need my help? Do I look like I need trouble in my life? I got enough on my hands, okay? So I look like you. I don't owe you anything.
>> Lily: You're right. You don't.
>> Rose: Just keep that in mind. If you want me to help you find out what this guy Simon is after, I will help you.
>> Lily: Thank you. Thank you, Rose. He's here.

[Rose turns around as Simon's back is turned.]

>> Rose: Girlfriend! Slice me off a piece of that. He is yummy! Why are all the bad boys so easy on the eyes? I wonder what he's like in a one-on-one of "simon says."
>> Lily: Quick, you have to hide -- before he sees you. Please.
>> Rose: I think I've had about enough of this.
>> Lily: You have to trust me.
>> Rose: Oh, yeah? Give me one good reason.

Scene 5:
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel
Scene: Nightclub

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Lily: Look, it's your choice -- you trust me and hide, or you show your face and blow this entire thing out of the water. We don't have much time!
>> Rose: I'm watching you, girlie.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Simon: Hello, Lily.
>> Lily: Oh -- hello, Simon.
>> Simon: I had no idea what an early riser you were.
>> Lily: Must be the ocean air.
>> Simon: Must be. So, tell me, though, what inspired you to have your morning coffee with showgirls and exotic dancers?
>> Lily: This strikes you as peculiar?
>> Simon: Well, you know, it doesn't seem quite you.
>> Lily: That just proves how little you do know about me, Simon.
>> Simon: Or was your appointment from last night rescheduled to here and now? You know, you remember, the incessant knocking, that obnoxious woman that you claim you met on the way back from the airport. You see, Lily, I think she's the person that you came all the way to Atlantic City to meet. I mean, you've already given me the slip twice to meet up with her. So tell me, which of these beauties could it be?

Scene 6:
Scene: Nightclub

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: It is absolutely none of your business what I'm doing here. I am a grown-up. I am not your responsibility. I can come and go as I choose. I can take care of myself.
>> Simon: Famous last words.
>> Lily: They could be our last words if you would just take off and leave me alone!
>> Simon: You don't know what you're getting yourself into.
>> Lily: That's right. I'm in danger. But from whom, besides you?
>> Simon: You know better than to ask me that.
>> Lily: Where is the danger coming from? If it's not -- is it -- is it from whomever broke into cal's place and went through your -- you think that that person is here, don't you?
>> Simon: You have a very vivid imagination, Lily.
>> Lily: And impeccable instincts from time to time. You tell me yours, I'll tell you mine. What are you hiding, Simon?
>> Simon: Thanks, but no thanks. Come on, Lily. Let's go.
>> Lily: No!
>> Lily: [Imitating Rose's accent.] Get your hands off the goods, buddy! I ducked in here to get away from you hassling me, pestering me, now leave me alone!
>> Simon: What are you trying to do?
>> Lily: I'm trying to get rid of you, that's what I'm trying to do! And if you were smart, you'd back off and find somebody who cares! You're messing with the wrong chick! Beat it!

SECURITY GUARD INTERVENES.

>> Simon: You're coming with me.
>> Security guard: You think so, huh? You a bettin' man? Nice 'do. It really suits you. This guy bothering you? [Imitating Rose's accent.]
>> Lily: Like a blister.
>> Security guard: Rehearsal's off limits, bud.
>> Simon: Uh, look --
>> Security guard: Right this way.
>> Simon: You don't understand, all right?
>> Security guard: Sure, I do.
[Door closes.]

Scene 7:
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel
Scene: Showplace - backstage.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Rose: Mmm, mmm, mmm. Some cutie, that Simon, huh? Tall, dark, handsome, a touch of danger. Wouldn't mind getting lost someplace with that.
>> Lily: He is dangerous, Rose.
>> Rose: This is what I'm saying. Makes a girl wish she didn't know right from wrong, which I do. Where and when appropriate, of course.
>> Lily: Look, we don't have much time. Simon is going to give that security guard the slip and he will be back here in no time. We really need to work fast.
>> Rose: You're all tensed up. You should chillax.
>> Lily: I will. I will as soon as I find out what Simon wants from me and what it has to do with that photograph.
>> Rose: Well, look no further. Everything I've got is right here in this box.

Scene 8:
Scene: Showplace.

SIMON FRASIER AND SECURITY GUARD

>> Security guard: Hey, koala boy. How many times do I gotta kick you outta here? Leave rose alone.
>> Simon: What did you -- leave who alone?
>> Security guard: Our star performer -- the babe you were hittin' on, Rose.
>> Simon: Rose.
