Scene 1:
Location: Railroad box car.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER
[Train horn blows.]
>> Simon: Lily? Rose?
[Train stopping.]
>> Simon: Okay. We're going to get you out of here, all right? I'll find you some help somehow.
[Footsteps outside.]
[Lily Walsh Snyder's eyes open.]
Scene 2:
Location: Railroad box car.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER
>> Simon: Look, I have -- I have absolutely no idea where we are, whoever you are. All right. I'm going to get you some help,
all right? Somehow.
Scene 3:
Location: Railroad box car.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER
>> Simon: Oh. Oh, you're up. I'm glad to see you're feeling better. Or were you just faking it the whole time? Huh? Well,
anyway, you're not going anywhere. Come on. So tell me, tell me. Who are you? Huh? Lily or Rose?
Scene 4:
Location: Railroad box car.
"ROSE D'ANGELO" (LILY WALSH SNYDER) AND SIMON FRASIER
>> Simon: Come on, just spit it out and be done with it. Tell me who you are. Answer me.
>> "Rose": Who do you think I am?
>> Simon: I think you'd better tell me the truth. Now. Fine. Fine, look, we can just sit around and wait until you decide. You
know? I can wait.
>> "Rose": I'm Rose. All right? You got your answer. I'm Rose! Now please let me outta here! Please!
>> Simon: Just sit. Just -- all right. Okay. All right. That's -- that's one down. Now -- just tell me where the diamond is. Please,
where is it?
>> "Rose": I need a doctor, Simon. I mean it, I'm hurt. I'm -- the boxcar's making me all loopy, and my head hurts, and I -- I
need a doctor, Simon, please! Please!
>> Simon: Yeah, nice try, Rose.
>> "Rose": My head -- my head -- something's wrong with me, Simon! I don't know what's going to happen to me if I don't see
a doctor!
>> Simon: Fine, fine, if that's the way you want to play it. All right, we'll play it that way. Fine. Come on. Rose -- you help me,
and I'll help you.
Scene 5:
Location: Railroad box car.
"ROSE D'ANGELO" (LILY WALSH SNYDER) AND SIMON FRASIER
>> "Rose": I do not have your stinkin' diamond! But you already know that, right? Let me guess -- did you rifle through my
pockets when I was out? Very charming.
>> Simon: So what are you saying? Huh? So Lily has it?
>> "Rose": Did I say that? I must be delusional, 'cause I don't remember anything I'm saying now.
>> Simon: Did -- did you give the diamond to Lily?
>> "Rose": I need a doctor, Simon! I need a doctor! Please!
>> Simon: Look. Look, Rose. Lily was determined that you keep that stone. She wouldn't have just run off with it.
>> "Rose": Think you're still a good judge of character? Ha!
>> Simon: Where is she? Where is Lily, Rose? Hey? She wanted you to keep that stone. So what was the plan, Rose?
>> "Rose": The plan? Oh, the "plan."
>> Simon: Yes. Yes. The plan! What did you two talk about? Hey? Come on. Rose, what did she tell you to do?
>> "Rose": Stay alive. First and foremost, stay alive. No bullet holes. One piece!
>> Simon: Good. Very smart! Then what? What next?
>> "Rose": I need a doctor, Simon. Listen to me. I am sick! I have never felt like this before. Get -- just -- give me a break!
>> Simon: Just tell me where the diamond is!
Scene 6:
Location: Railroad box car.
"ROSE D'ANGELO" (LILY WALSH SNYDER) AND SIMON FRASIER
>> "Rose": I just want to get out of this stinkin' box! Help me! Please, somebody! I'm being kidnapped!
>> Simon: Look, Rose, we are miles away from civilization, all right? No one -- no one can hear you. Look, in a few moments,
this train is taking off again. Further away from Atlantic City, further away from medical attention, to who knows where.
>> "Rose": You really are certifiable. You'd let me die right here in this boxcar.
>> Simon: I will take you to the finest hospitals, get you the best physicians in the country. You tell me what I want to know.
The choice is yours. Look, Rose, no one -- no one else can help you, because no one knows where you are. I'm the only one
that can get you out of here. So if you really, truly value your life, then you will tell me the truth, now.
>> "Rose": Okay. I will tell you. Lily Snyder does not have the diamond. She has no clue where it is.
>> Simon: All right, okay. But you do.
>> "Rose": It's in the casino. I hid it -- when that maniac with the gun went ballistic.
>> Simon: Okay, where is it now?
>> "Rose": It's in the casino showroom. In a fuse box -- backstage, behind the curtains, stage left.
>> Simon: Okay, all right. In a fuse box, backstage, behind a curtain in a fuse box. That's good.
>> "Rose": That's right. An old fuse box. Nobody, it hasn't been out of commission for years. Nobody'll ever go in there.
Nobody will ever find it.
>> Simon: Okay, are you sure of that?
>> "Rose": Yeah. Now it's your turn. I need a doctor. I do not want to die right here in this boxcar. Please.
>> Simon: All right, don't -- don't worry, Rose. I'm not -- I'm not gonna let you die. But now that you've told me where the
diamond is, I'm gonna go back to that casino, all right? And I'm taking you with me.
Scene 7:
Location: Railroad box car.
"ROSE D'ANGELO" (LILY WALSH SNYDER) AND SIMON FRASIER
>> Simon: You really think I'm going to go on another wild goose chase, huh? Get to this mysterious fuse box and find
nothing but a handful of dust? Or what, have you already arranged for one of your cronies, Mitzy or Boris, to get it before I
get there?
>> "Rose": I swear, I have not told anybody about it. Look, I cannot go all the way back to Atlantic City, because I'm never
gonna make it.
>> Simon: Look, just have a little faith.
>> "Rose": The diamond is there. I swear that I will not tell anybody.
>> Simon: And why should I believe you?
>> "Rose": You know how important that diamond is to you? You spent your entire life trying to track it down, just so you
could get your hands on it, just to feel the fire. Well, I got dreams, too. I don't know what all of them are yet, but -- I know I
want to find them. A man who adores me, and who'll sweep me off my feet. Have a nice, peaceful, quiet life. But I will not live
to see another sunrise if you don't get me out of here, so please, just let me go.
>> Simon: Sorry.
>> "Rose": I'll forget your name. I'll forget all of this ever happened. I'm giving you my diamond, for pete's sake. The least you
could do is give me my life.
>> Simon: Let's go. Let's go, Rose. Come on. Get up! Get up! I will drag you out of here if I have to. Come on. Rose -- Rose,
Ro -- Ro -- Rose. You're burning up.
>> "Rose": Oh, help me, Simon. Help me, please.
Scene 8:
Location: Railroad box car.
"ROSE D'ANGELO" (LILY WALSH SNYDER) AND SIMON FRASIER
>> "Rose": Please don't let me die here, Simon. I still have so many things that I want to do.
>> Simon: Rose, Rose, Rose.
>> "Rose": Promise me.
>> Simon: You'll be fine, all right? You're gonna be fine.
>> "Rose": You wouldn't break a promise to a girl, would you?
>> Simon: Hey, hey, you are gonna -- you're gonna be out of here, and back onstage in that kickline before you know it, all
right? Okay? So I'll go to the engineer, all right? He's sure to have a phone or a radio.
>> "Rose": Hurry.
[Horn sounds.]
>> Simon: Hey, hey -- stop! Stop, wait! Wait!
>> "Rose": Simon?
>> Simon: They, uh -- they uncoupled our car from the rest. The train took off.
>> "Rose": What are you saying?
>> Simon: Rose, I'm afraid we're stranded.
