Scene 1:
Place: Atlantic City, New Jersey
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel
Scene: Dressing room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Rose: Lily! You were right! It's real! It's full of carats! I'm rich! I'm rich!
>> Simon: Just in time, rose. All right, hand it over.
>> Lily: Rose --
>> Simon: Give me the diamond now!
>> Rose: Give me one good reason.
>> Simon: Because it is rightfully mine, I've been searching for it for years, and I'm not leaving here without it!

Scene 2:
Scene: Dressing room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Simon: Look, that diamond belongs in my family. Okay?
>> Rose: No -- no -- you don't -- get -- your great-grandfather's probably rolling over in his grave because some member of his family is pulling some stunt like this!
>> Lily: It's Rose's rightful inheritance.
>> Rose: You're sure about that?
>> Lily: Absolutely.
>> Simon: You're going to take Lily's word for it? Listen, Rose, she is as much as lawyer as you --
>> Lily: As you are an architect? Oh, that's fine. You want to drag this through the court system over the next few years, that's fine. I will foot the entire bill for rose and get her the best law firm in the in the United States.
>> Rose: You are so gonna lose.
>> Simon: Listen -- we so don't need to waste everyone's time and energy on litigation. Rose, I just want another chance to have a look at the diamond. You know? Insure that it really is the Rose of Sharon, you know? I barely had my hands on it last time. So just -
>> Lily: If you give him a chance to look at it again, you will never see that stone or Simon ever again.
>> Simon: Lily, just -- shh, all right? Please. Rose, come on. Where is it?
>> Rose: Don't you worry. Little Rosie is safe, safe, safe in the hands of my jeweler friend. He thinks he has somebody who could buy it. A big-time high roller.
>> Simon: What?! What, are you completely stupid?! Rose, you left a diamond of that magnitude and quality with some -- with some, some small-time jeweler?! Are you -- you will never see him or that diamond again!
>> Rose: Hey, Boris is a good guy. He worked for the tzar, for pete's sake. He's got integrity, a heart, and a very good -- a very good eye. He would know if something was glass or worth more than ft. Knox, which is more than I can say for myself.
>> Simon: Okay. Well, there is only one way, one solution, that is going to satisfy us all. All right? You are going to go down to your trustworthy friend, you're going to get that diamond, and you're going to bring it back here.

Scene 3:
Scene: Dressing room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Simon: Rose, Rose. Just listen to me, okay? A diamond like this is only born once in a lifetime. Your local jeweler friend would never have seen a stone as pure as the Rose of Sharon. There is absolutely no way that guy, that piddling local jeweler would have any idea as to it's true value. I mean, he could cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars if he undervalues it -
>> Rose: Oh, that's enough! That is such -- enough outta you. You know, right from the beginning, right in the beginning, you fooled me, okay? All this talk about this grand estate in Australia, living the good life -- you know, I'd rather trust my local jeweler friend than some guy who's been bamboozlin' me from the word "go." To think I really liked this guy in the beginning.
>> Simon: Oh, well you know, you know -- I like you, too, Rose. I like you both. You're fantastic -- the two of you. But, you know, I want my diamond!
>> Rose: Fine. You can have it. You can make a bid on it like everybody else. As for Rose D'Angelo, I've got other plans in store.
>> Simon: There's been a change of plans, Rose. You will retrieve that diamond for me. Tonight.

Scene 4:
Scene: Dressing room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Lily: Every time I think I have this guy figured out, he stoops to a new low.
>> Simon: You brought this on yourself, Lily. I told you so many times to just stay out of it!
>> Lily: I'm sorry, Rose.
>> Rose: Sorry for what? Barging into my life and bringing this madman with you? Forget about it.
>> Lily: You wish you'd never met me, don't you?
>> Rose: Are you kiddin'? It's been a hoot. If I could just take you back to the old neighborhood with that face and that gorgeous diamond -- if you hadn't come into my life, I never would have found out that piece of glitter was the real deal.
>> Lily: No matter what it's worth, it's not worth getting killed over.
>> Simon: Oh, that is such a wise decision. That's very smart. So, Rose, just -- just hand it over. Just give it to me, and you can go back to your life, go back to shakin' it on the stage. All right? You work in a casino. You know, as they say, "easy come, easy go."
>> Rose: You think this is easy? Being held at gunpoint by somebody you thought was your friend? 10-To-1 says the accents's a fake, too.
>> Simon: No, I am trying to help you.
>> Rose: Yeah -- help me out of a couple million bucks? Thank you, but that's a load I can handle on my own. Thank you.
>> Simon: As I have told you both before. Look, that stone is a liability. It is a real and immediate danger to anyone who possesses it.
>> Lily: How courageous of you to want to possess that diamond, coping with it's curse.
>> Simon: Where is it?
>> Rose: I told you. It's safe.
>> Lily: If you don't tell him where you took the diamond to be appraised, he can't hurt you. He'll never find it.
>> Simon: You know, that's true. Thank you. I do need Rose alive. You, however, are obsolete. So, Rose, you are going to lead me to you jeweler friend -- or I use this on Lily. Tell me, Rose. How do you think it would feel to watch yourself die?

Scene 5:
Scene: Dressing room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND ROSE D'ANGELO

>> Simon: So let's go to that appraiser, Rose. Now!
>> Rose: I take orders from nobody. You want Lily Snyder's blood on your hands? It's fine with me. You gotta do what you gotta do. Right?
>> Lily: Rose?!
>> Simon: Look, this isn't a joke, all right?! Look --
>> Lily: Ow! You're hurting me!
>> Simon: I will do whatever it takes to get what is rightfully mine! Now, now, now, -- Rose, you either lead me to that jeweler, or die wishing you had. The choice is yours.
>> Rose: That's some choice.
>> Lily: Rose, do something!
>> Rose: What am I going to do? Hey, I got it. I got an idea, all right? Uh -- I will lead you down to my jeweler friend, okay? And then we can all go down there, and then we can make a deal that all of us will be happy with.
>> Simon: Look, whatever. All right? Just -- let's go.
>> Lily: I'm sorry, Rose.
>>Rose: We gotta do what we gotta do. Right? We go down there, we cash out, badda bing, we're done. Then we all go our separate ways.
>> Simon: You know, can hardly wait.
>> Rose: I'll call you later.
>> Lily: Okay.
>> Simon: Oh, yeah, okay. Yeah, yeah, nice try, Rose. But Lily is coming with us.
>> Lily: No!
>> Simon: What, do you really think I'm going to leave you here to alert the cops? Look, we all know each other a little bit better than that. Let's go. Go. And one false move could be your last. All right?

UGLY SHOE WOMAN FOLLOWS.

Scene 6:
Scene: Lily Walsh Snyder's hotel room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Simon: So what is your jeweler friend's home number, then? Call him up.
>> Rose: I don't know.
>> Simon: Where does he live?
>> Rose: How would I know? You think I go home with every guy I know? He'll be in at 10:00 In the morning.
>> Simon: Fine, then. 10:00 It is. So make yourself comfortable, ladies. Sit!
>> Lily: Thanks.
>> Rose: I wouldn't let him whack you. I'd never be able to look at myself again if something had happened to you.
>> Lily: Likewise, I'm sure. You know, I really need to take a shower. That is -- that is, with your permission, sir.
>> Simon: Whatever. Just don't be long.
>> Rose: Don't get any ideas. I've seen enough of you to last a lifetime. Besides, I'm tired.

Scene 7:
Scene: Lily Walsh Snyder's hotel room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Rose: How was your shower?
>> Lily: I almost feel like myself again.
>> Rose: Sounds like you're ready to go home.
>> Lily: I miss my family.
>> Rose: You got any pictures?
>> Lily: I do, in my purse.
>> Rose: Your purse.
[ Rose gasps ] is that your husband?
>> Lily: Holden. The love of my life, ever since we were teenagers.
>> Rose: Oh, he's handsome. He looks like a model. What's, is he, like, a cop or fireman or --
>> Lily: No, he works at a television station. Woak.
>> Rose: Not bad. So, what does he do there?
>> Lily: He manages the place. I'm -- I'm one of the owners.
>> Rose: Don't say it like an apology. That's -- that's fantastic. So, what is he like?
>> Lily: Holden is -- loyal, fiercely overprotective of his family, and probably the most wonderful man that I have ever known.
>> Rose: Mm-hmm. And these little crumb-snatchers?
>> Lily: Oh, that's Luciano.
>> Rose: Luciano! Italian, like me!
>> Lily: "Luke", we call him Luke, for short. And that's Faith there, my little girl. Luke loves reading and coloring, and Faith loves anything that she can get her hands on. And that's Emma. That's my mother-in-law.
>> Rose: The mother-in-law. Say no more.
>> Lily: No, no, no, no. It's nothing like that. Emma is so warm and loving -- she's the picture of serenity and stability. She's an amazing, amazing cook. She runs this little farm outside of town. Oh, it's not really important. Anyway, I have a really wonderful life back in Oakdale. I wouldn't want to trade it for the world.
>> Simon: Look, Lily, save your breath. She's asleep. The only thing your friend cares about is the cold, hard cash.
>> Lily: Why don't you just let us go?
>> Simon: Look, I want to. Okay? I really do. And just as soon as that diamond is returned to me, you are free. You are free to return to your loving husband and your -- your adorable kids.
>> Lily: And just forget about the past few days, the few months, of my life?
>> Simon: Well, considering the alternative, you should be grateful. Look, Lily, it's almost over, okay? And then you can go home and -- and why not? I'll give Rose a couple of dollars for her trouble.
>> Lily: And you get the diamond?
>> Simon: Yeah. Yeah, we all get what we want. And nobody has to get hurt.

Scene 8:
Scene: Lily Walsh Snyder's hotel room.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND ROSE D'ANGELO AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: You do realize that you're no different than your ancestors -- the ones who got rid of "beloved." All you care about is wealth, status, material things. You don't care what goes on inside of a woman's heart. All you care about is what you can get from her.
>> Simon: You have absolutely no idea who I am.
>> Lily: It's difficult to get to know a liar.
>> Simon: "A liar"?
>> Lily: That's right. You've been lying to me since the moment you showed up at my door. You're lying now.
>> Simon: I want the diamond.
>> Lily: But you'll take the cash. Right?
>> Simon: Look, Lily, I just want what is rightfully mine. You know? That diamond came from my family. It's part of my heritage. It belongs to me.
>> Lily: It belongs to Rose. Your great-grandfather gave that to a woman that he adored. And she passed it on through her family, and then to her daughter, and now, it's with Rose.
>> Simon: And now it is time for me to reclaim what was lost for so many years. So, look, defend Rose as all you like, pretend I'm the villain if that helps you sleep better at night, but put yourself in my position. And we both know that even you would do no less. What -- whoa, whoa, whoa.
>> Rose: Look at that. I guess I wasn't so tired after all. You say something about a "change of plans," Simon? Oh, yeah, there's been a change of plans. Guess what comes next.
