Scene 1:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, MARGO HUGHES

>> Simon: Margo?
>> Margo: I'm still here. Still here. I'm still looking for any rises. How's my sister?
>> Katie: Small fracture. Whoo! Good to be home.
>> Margo: Home, yeah. Home is supposed to be a safe place, Katie.
>> Katie: So the banister really was sabotaged?
>> Margo: Yes.
>> Katie: Oh, God. I guess I was just hoping --
>> Simon: Did you find anything else suspicious, Margo?
>> Margo: Yes. There's no evidence of a forced break-in. All the doors and windows were locked from the inside. So whoever broke in here had to have a key.
>> Simon: This is my fault. I never should have let Katie follow me up the stairs --
>> Margo: Katie, I want you to come home with me tonight.
>> Katie: No. I'll be I'm gonna stay with Simon. We made a pact to stick together.
>> Margo: No, that's not a good idea, Katie. I want you safe.
>> Katie: I don't think Dahlia's gonna strike again already. Do you?
>> Simon: I think what your sister is politely trying to say is that she thinks you'll be a lot safer away from me.
>> Katie: But you didn't sabotage the banister. Dahlia did.
>> Margo: Dahlia, Dahlia, Dahlia. You know, for someone who hasn't been seen or heard from in weeks, she certainly has been the reason for a lot of things. Dahlia would have had to have a key to get in here. When did you give her a key, huh?
>> Katie: I didn't. She probably stole one.
>> Margo: When?
>> Katie: I don't know. When she was decorating our cottage with things to make Simon look guilty. Why are you playing the suspicious cop all of a sudden again?
>> Simon: I think it's because she's worried about you. Is that why, yes? Because she's worried about you. She's your sister.
>> Katie: You know what you should be worried about? You should be worried about what Dahlia's after. She's trying to break us up. And I have no idea why or why she staged her disappearance or why she's making it look like Simon is guilty of Jill Scully's murder.
I just know she is.
>> Margo: All right, Katie, I know that you've got this theory that somehow Dahlia is targeting Simon --
>> Katie: It's more than just a theory, Margo. [ Margo sighs ] Oh, God! I hate it when you guys do that. What? What?!
>> Simon: I think what Margo is wondering is why, if I'm the target, you're the one with the fractured wrist. Yeah?

Scene 2:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, MARGO HUGHES

>> Katie: Simon, will you get me some water? I want to take some aspirin.
>> Simon: Katie, if you're trying to get me out of the room so you can defend my actions to the police, then I think I can do it myself.
>> Katie: No, no. I'm defending you to my sister. There's a difference. Right? Please, just give us some time.
>> Margo: Katie, I like Simon, I do. When -- when Hal and Jack were missing, I -- I ever grew to respect him.
>> Katie: Then why are you treating him like a suspect?
>> Margo: Because you -- I saw you hurt. Now I've got to wonder if my feelings about Simon are clouding my better judgment.
>> Katie: He didn't do this. Dahlia did.
>> Margo: Why? What's her motivation?
>> Katie: She is convinced that Simon killed her sister Monique. I think revenge is motivation.
>> Margo: Yes, it is. It's an excellent motivation. Let's not forget Simon's. Katie, you've got money now. He's got a really bad track record with rich wives. A first-year law student could build a case against him.
>> Katie: He's innocent, Margo. I don't know how I know, but I do.
>> Margo: All right. Look, whether these accidents were caused by Dahlia or Simon, the bottom line is, you are risking your life by staying with your husband.
>> Katie: Isn't that what marriage is -- a risk? You -- you tie your future to someone else's. You hand over your dreams to them, and you hope that they come true.
>> Margo: I know, baby. There are risks, and then there are emotional risks. This is danger. You're putting yourself in danger. There's no reason you have to risk your life to prove your love for this man --
>> Katie: Why not? Margo, Simon is the only thing I have in the world -- the only thing. He has put himself on the line for me, and the only thing he expects in return is that I trust him. And I'm going to do that. Do you know why? Because one day, after 100 years of doing laundry and making dinners and raising our kids together, he's going to hold my hand. And I'm going to die knowing that I lived life for the right reason, the only thing that matters in this life -- loving someone else and knowing that they love you.

Scene 3:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, MARGO HUGHES

>> Simon: I think about what Katie's had to go through just because she's married to me.
>> Margo: Well, she chose her life, Simon. And she chose you.
>> Simon: I'm not gonna let anything happen to her.
>> Margo: My gut wants to believe you, but my head thinks like a cop.
>> Simon: Good. Good, because we need that.
>> Margo: If there are any more accidents, I'm gonna string you up myself.
[ Margo leaves and Simon checks in on Katie ]
>> Simon: You gonna go upstairs to bed?
>> Katie: Mm, that sounds so good.
>> Simon: No, you need a rest. You need a rest. I'm gonna fix the banister.
>> Katie: No, I'm not going to stay up there all by myself. I'll help you.
>> Simon: No, this is not exactly a glue gun kinda job. Here, come here. You sit, here, rest up. And -- here this. It's your fan mail, I picked it up from The Lakeview hotel.
>> Katie: Ooh, this is fun. I haven't had this since my days at WOAK. Thank you.
>> Simon: No. Katie, thank you.
>> Katie: For what?
>> Simon: For seeing your future with me in it.

Scene 4:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER

>> Katie: Oh, you gotta hear is one. "Dear Katie, my butt used to jiggle like jell-O. Now, I can bounce quarters off of it."
>> Simon: All right, I think this is gonna hold. Don't lean against it until I put in the proper braces.
>> Katie: Okay. Oh, wait, you gotta read this one. Oh, man -- I gotta read you this one, too.
>> Simon: You got a pen?
>> Katie: Yeah, here. Why, you gonna write me a fan letter?
>> Simon: No, just a love letter.
>> Katie: I wish Dahlia could see us now. What, what? What?

Scene 5:
Location: The Cottage

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
.
[ Simon shows Katie the bug that Dahlia planted in their house and he sets a radio in front of it and turns it on ]
>> Simon: I think this should help, but keep your voice down.
>> Katie: Okay. Did you find any others?
>> Simon: No, I looked all around, bud I didn't see anything else, but I can't be sure.
>> Katie: I can't believe Dahlia did this. No wonder she was always one step ahead of us, she was listening to us. What are we going to do?
>> Simon: We're going to catch her using her own game.
