Scene 1:
Place: A deserted island off of North Carolina on the Atlantic Ocean.
Location: On the beach.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Simon: It's gonna be all right, Lily. You know, I promise you. It's going to be all right.
>> Lily: How can it ever be all right again? I've been away from my family for so long. My children don't know whether I'm alive or dead.
>> Simon: Look, look. Listen to me. Listen, you are alive, and that is the first step in getting back to them.
>> Lily: We're lost, you see. It's hopeless. I see what you've done with that cave, and it's so warm and comfortable and it reminds me of my home. And I want to go home.
>> Simon: I know. I know.
>> Lily: The way you set yourself up there, you could probably live here for the rest of your life.
>> Simon: No, I can't. I'm just trying to make the best of it. That's all.
>> Lily: I don't want to make the best of being on some sand dune in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean! I just can't stop thinking about Holden and Faith and Luke and my family.
>> Simon: Just think -- just think, Lily, how lucky you are.
>> Lily: Oh, I feel so lucky.
>> Simon: Yes, yes, you are. Because at least you've got your family's love to cling to, you know, a reason to give you hope. Look, the storm's getting a lot closer, and by the looks of that sky, it's gonna be a bad one. A hurricane or close to it, okay?
>> Lily: I'll call it "Hurricane Celia" after that terrible sister of yours.
>> Simon: Look, this beach is pretty narrow.
>> Lily: What do you mean?
>> Simon: It's gonna be covered in water in a couple of hours, okay? We need to get back to the cave. All right? We've got to barricade ourselves in for the night.

Scene 2:
Location: On the beach.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: No, I don't want to go back to your cave!
>> Simon: Look, we won't survive this storm if we don't!
>> Lily: I just want to get off this island! I want to go home!
>> Simon: I know. Lily, I know. And I swear, if I could magically transport us away from here, I would. But listen, we need to stay alive. All right? That's all that counts until we find a way off this island.
[Wind gusting.]
>> Lily: How long do we have?
>> Simon: Not much. We need to rig a makeshift door for the cave. So just start looking along the beach for anything. Okay? Wood, leaves, vines, anything we can tie together.

Scene 3:
Location: On the beach.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Simon: Let's get some wood.
>> Lily: Here. This one?
>> Simon: I need a stick. No, no, no. Give me that big one.
>> Lily: Here. Got it?
>> Simon: Yep. That rock.
>> Lily: Okay.
[Lily gasping.]
>> Lily: Not a bad-looking door. With any luck, it'll hold.
>> Simon: Luck? There is a feat of engineering. And you were amazing out there, Lily -- collecting stuff from the beach. You were a blur.
>> Lily: Speed under pressure, you know? The thought of another Celia wiping me out was too much for me.
>> Simon: You know, we got that door done in record time because we make a great team. Thank you.
>> Lily: You know, I wonder what Holden's thinking right now. I hope he hasn't given up on me.
>> Simon: No, no, no. He wouldn't have. No way.
>> Lily: My children -- Luke and Faith -- those poor, little babies. Oh, Holden must think that I'm dead or -- or maybe somebody convinced him that I've run off.
>> Simon: Nobody would do that, Lily. That doesn't makes any sense.
>> Lily: Well, then he'd have no reason look for me then.
>> Simon: Look, when I was living at your place, Lily, one thing was made abundantly clear to me and that is how much Holden loves you. He will never give up, okay? He will wait forever for you. And when you do get back to Oakdale, he will be wildly relieved to have you home.
>> Lily: If I get home.
>> Simon: You will, Lily, okay? You will.

Scene 4:
Location: In the cave.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

>> Lily: It sounds like the end of the world out there!
>> Simon: Lily, just try to ignore it, okay? We're gonna be fine in here. Look around you, okay? We have food, we have fire, shelter from the storm. We just need to wait it out.
>> Lily: How long?
>> Simon: Just be patient, okay? Take a deep breath, look around once more. All right. It's gonna work.
>> Lily: Well, you really do have everything here. You have fire, you have food, sleeping arrangements.
>> Simon: Yeah, well, I tried to think of everything.
>> Lily: You're really good at this, aren't you?
>> Simon: I don't know. It's just all that camping off the coast of Australia, I guess. What's your excuse?
>> Lily: Oh, me? No, no, no, no, no. I always wanted to be a camper. That's why I camp outside with Luke. Pitch a tent and fulfill a little fantasy of mine.
>> Simon: Yeah, and what about when you were a kid?
>> Lily: Oh, I always wanted to sleep outside. You know? Be brave, brave the elements, start a fire with a flint. But my mother, you know, she wouldn't have it.
>> Simon: She doesn't strike me much like the outdoorsy type.
>> Lily: Mrs. Walsh, she's never let me sleep anywhere if it didn't leave mints on the pillow.
>> Simon: Well, then just think of this as your lost childhood camping experience, okay? And just think about all the stories you'll have to tell Luke the next time you pitch a tent in the backyard.
>> Lily: You really believe that we're gonna get out of here?
>> Simon: I have absolutely no doubt in the world.
[Crashing.]
[Lily squeals.]

Scene 5:
Location: In the cave.

LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER

[Storm in progress.]

>> Simon: Lily! Stop!
>> Lily: Come on, we can fix it!
>> Simon: We need to get deeper into the cave! All right?
>> Lily: I'll hold this side, I'll hold the other one!
>> Simon: Lily, there's no point! We need to conserve our energy! We need to keep our strength up for what's ahead!
>> Lily: Ahead? You mean it's gonna get worse?
>> Simon: Yes, yes, it's gonna get worse before it gets better, okay? But this is the safest place on the whole island. Now, sit. Sit down. Okay? Put this around you, we need to stay warm!
