Scene 1:
Location: Frasier Cottage
Scene: Bedroom

KATIE FRASIER, PILAR DOMINGO

>> Katie: I'm begging you. Please, don't hurt Snickers. He didn't anything to you.
>> Pilar: They make a wonderful stew. Well, if you use the proper spices. My mother had a wonderful recipe for conejo con vino blanco. That's what I should have done with the last one.
>> Katie: What last one?
>> Pilar: You didn't get my little present?
>> Katie: Faux?
>> Pilar: Don't look so sad. I made it swift.
>> Katie: How could you kill an innocent little rabbit?
>> Pilar: Shall I show you?
>> Katie: No, I --
>> Pilar: Then move. Go out that window with me, or all you'll have left is a nasty little blood stain to remember him by.
>> Katie: Okay, okay, I'll do anything you say. Just please put Snickers down.
>> Pilar: In time.
>> Katie: What was that, a ransom note?
>> Pilar: Just a message for Simon. Now move. Open the window. If you climb down that trellis very carefully, I'll release your friend and follow. And, Katie -- if I were you, I'd be as quiet as a bunny.

Scene 2:
Location: Frasier Cottage
Scene: Dining Room

SIMON FRASIER, TOM HUGHES, HENRY COLEMAN, MARGO HUGHES

>> Tom: So you want me to believe that you're a victim of Doc Reese's harassment? Let me tell you the problem I have with that. Most guys don't let it go on that long, unless they're getting a little encouragement!
>> Henry: Cheese, cracker?
>> Margo: Get lost, Henry.
>> Henry: That's an excellent idea.
>> Simon: Listen, Tom -- look, I really don't want to interfere here, but this is Katie's last night.
>> Henry: Yeah, so neutral corners, kids.
>> Tom: No problem! I'm leaving anyway.
>> Margo: I am, too.

Scene 3:
Location: Frasier Cottage
Scene: Living Room

SIMON FRASIER, NANCY HUGHES, HENRY COLEMAN,

>> Simon: I really should go check on Katie.
>> Nancy: Didn't she say she was going upstairs to feed Snickers?
>> Simon: Yeah, but she's been gone a while. Listen, mate, can you do me a favor? Can you run up and see where Katie's at?
>> Henry: Yeah, you got it.
>> Simon: Thanks.
>> Henry: Hey, bubbles, your presence is requested. Katie, come out, come out, wherever you are. Hey. Hey, who let you out, huh? Snickers, have you seen Katie? You know, I hate to tell you this, but you are no Lassie.
[ Simon joins Henry upstairs in the bedroom ]
>> Simon: Henry, you up here?
>> Henry: Huh? Yeah.
>> Simon: Where is she?
>> Henry: I don't know. I just asked Snickers the same question.
>> Simon: Did you take him out of his cage?
>> Henry: No, that's how I found him.
>> Simon: Did you open this window?
>> Henry: No, Katie must have.
>> Simon: All right, where the hell is she, man?
>> Henry: I don't know. I don't know. But you're giving me a really bad feeling about this.
>> Simon: Me, too.
>> Henry: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
>> Simon: Pilar.

Scene 4:
Location: Oakdale
Scene: Boat House

KATIE FRASIER, PILAR DOMINGO

>> Katie: Why did you bring me all the way out here?
>> Pilar: I thought it was fitting, Lady Kate. You didn't know? Michael must have planned it as a surprise in happier days. I stumbled upon it while you were tucked away in that nice little mental hospital. Michael's always been so good with his hands. Don't you agree?
[ Pilar throws down the boat sign ] >> Katie: You don't have to kill me, Pilar. Mike is free now.
>> Pilar: Michael will never be free.
>> Katie: Simon and I are going to Australia.
>> Pilar: Is that what he's promised?
>> Katie: Yes, we're leaving tonight.
>> Pilar: Did he also promise to love you?
>> Katie: What?
>> Pilar: And cherish you, till death do you part? Simon's promises are all lies! You know what I think? I think Mike was hoping you'd find that out and come running back to him.
>> Katie: No, he's not. He doesn't -- he knows better. He knows I would never leave Simon.
>> Pilar: That won't change what's in his heart.
>> Katie: Once I'm gone, everything will be different. You can start over. I will be -- >> Pilar: He doesn't want me anymore! After everything I went through to prove my love for him -- still, he wants you. He deserves to be punished for that.
>> Katie: Did you hurt Mike?
>> Pilar: Only one thing will hurt Mike -- finding out what it's like to be left all alone. His lady Kate will never love him again -- not from her grave.

Scene 5:
Location: Frasier Cottage
Scene: Bedroom

SIMON FRASIER, HENRY COLEMAN

>> Henry: She's not picking up her cell.
>> Simon: There are two sets of footprints, but the car is still here.
>> Henry: All right, I'm calling the cops.
>> Simon: No! No, hang it up.
>> Henry: Simon, wait. Simon, wait a second. If Pilar really does have Katie --
>> Simon: If Pilar does have Katie, and the cops come in there with sirens, she'll panic. Please, just go downstairs, tell the guests Katie's sick, tell them anything. And I'm gonna go after Pilar.
>> Henry: No, listen, we need dogs. We need search teams.
>> Simon: Damn it, Henry, do not argue with me. I'm going to bring Katie home. You stay here.
>> Henry: No. No, I'm not. If Katie's in danger, I'm coming with you.
>> Simon: Just do what I say, okay?
[ Henry calls Mike on his cell phone ]
>> Henry: Mike, this is Henry. I need you at the cottage. It's an emergency.

Scene 6:
Location: Frasier Cottage
Scene: Living Room

HENRY COLEMAN, BOB HUGHES, MIKE KASNOFF, NANCY HUGHES, CHRIS HUGHES

>> Henry: Hi -- I'm sorry, people. Katie feels just awful -- awful about this. But I think it must be like a 24-hour bug.
>> Bob: Well, maybe I should take a look at her?
>> Henry: No, no, no. No, she's fast asleep.
>> Nancy: Where's Simon?
>> Henry: Simon -- Simon is -- Simon went to the drug store --
>> Mike: Henry, what's going on?
>> Bob: Hello, Mike.
>> Mike: Hi. What's wrong with Katie?
>> Henry: A moment, please?
>> Nancy: I don't want to leave until I know that Katie's all right.
>> Chris: Okay, Dad. Why don't you let Alison and I stay with Gram, and we'll drive her home later?
>> Bob: That'd be great, then I can catch up with your mother. See you.
[ Henry and Mike go to the dining room ]
>> Mike: What, Henry? You got me over here like the house was on fire. What's going on?
>> Henry: Pilar has Katie.
>> Mike: What? Are you sure?
>> Henry: No, no, we're not sure. But she disappeared from the party. We went up to her room. It was completely empty, the window was wide open. Simon went outside and found two sets of footprints.
>> Mike: Where's Simon now?
>> Henry: Well, he went to find her.
>> Mike: Did he call the cops?
>> Henry: No, no, no. He said it would push Pilar over the edge, and that's not a very long trip.
>> Mike: Maybe I can help.

Scene 7:
Location: Oakdale
Scene: Boathouse

KATIE FRASIER, PILAR DOMINGO

>> Pilar: With you alive, Mike's hope will never die.
>> Katie: Just give him time. I'm very forgettable.
>> Pilar: And foolish. To trade down to Simon, a man who will break your heart a million times over.
>> Katie: You don't even know Simon.
>> Pilar: You'd be surprised what I know.
[ Phone rings ] It's Michael. Any last words, Katie? I didn't expect to hear from you so soon.
>> Mike: Pilar, don't do this. Don't hurt Katie.
>> Pilar: Why must you always think the worst of me? Be happy, Michael. Very soon, you'll be able to look out your window and remember where Katie spent her final moments.
>> Katie: Mike, I'm at the boathouse.
>> Pilar: I'm sorry, Katie, but the cellular customer you've requested is no longer available.

Scene 8:
Location: Frasier Cottage
Scene: Living Room

HENRY COLEMAN, MIKE KASNOFF

>> Henry: Where is she?
>> Mike: Call the cops.
>> Henry: No, no, no. Simon said --
>> Mike: The hell with Simon. I tell you what. You go out and tell the cops to go out to my place, about 100 yards before they get there they're going to see this old abandoned boathouse. It's been sitting on Lucinda's property forever. You can't miss it. You got that?
>> Henry: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Boathouse. Go, go, hurry.

Scene 9:
Location: Oakdale
Scene: Boathouse

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, PILAR DOMINGO, MIKE KASNOFF, MARGO HUGHES, POLICEMEN

>> Pilar: I'll have to be quick about this. Mike's a smart man. He'll figure out where we are. Now move -- over there. Lie down!
>> Katie: No.
>> Pilar: I said move.
>> Katie: And I said no. Do you want that in Spanish? No. I am not budging.
>> Katie: Okay, listen. Everybody gets one last wish, right? So if I'm gonna die, I want a last wish. I want to pick where.
>> Pilar: What does it matter?
>> Katie: I don't know, it just does. I never thought about where or when I would be killed. I just hoped that I was with Simon and that we'd have kids and grand --
>> Pilar: Trust me. Dying now will be a lot less painful than a lifetime with Simon.
>> Katie: You don't even know Simon. What do you have against him?
>> Pilar: I'm letting you die with your memories in tact, but don't push me. Now move. Get on your knees.
>> Mike: Katie!
[ Katie throws fishnet over Pilar ] [ Struggle ] >> Katie: Mike, I'm in here! Hurry! Hurry. Watch out, she's got a knife. Watch out, be careful. Oh, god. Is she -- I killed her?
>> Mike: No, this isn't your fault.
>> Katie: Oh, my god. No, no, no. I was just trying to get away from her. Mike, I just wanted to run.
>> Mike: She can't hurt you. She can't hurt you.
>> Katie: Oh, god. How did this happen? How did this happen? She just got in my way. I wasn't trying to hurt her. Oh, god. Oh, my god.
>> Simon: Katie, what the hell happened?
>> Mike: Pilar's dead.
[ Simon in the doorway watching ] >> Katie: I killed her. Simon, I killed her.
>> Mike: You didn't kill her. Katie was trying to get away and Pilar had a knife.
>> Katie: She was going to use it on me, Simon. She wanted me dead. Oh, my god, I can't believe this happened.
>> Mike: You defended yourself, Katie.
>> Katie: Maybe I wanted her dead. Maybe I was so angry that I just made it happen.
>> Simon: Listen, listen, listen. Mike's right. You would never do this intentionally. Just tell me what happened. Baby, what did Pilar say to you?
>> Mike: What does it matter what Pilar said? It's over.
>> Katie: How did you find me?
>> Simon: I saw the patrol cars, I cut through on the lake side. It doesn't matter. Just tell me what did she say?
>> Mike: Why didn't you call the cops the second she was missing?
[ Margo and other policemen come in ]
>> Margo: Police. Freeze. Tape off the area. Get the M.E. Over here. Get the ADA on the line.
>> Katie: I didn't want her dead, Margo. I didn't want to kill her.
>> Margo: Katie, just tell me what happened?
>> Katie: She was coming after me. She had a knife. I -- then Mike came in.
>> Margo: All right, Mike, how did you know that they were here?
>> Mike: I called Pilar. Before she hung up, she said something how I'd be able to look out my window and remember where Katie died. There's a clear view of this place from my cabin. Something clicked. I knew Katie had to be here.
>> Margo: Katie, you gotta tell me what happened. How did Pilar die?
>> Mike: It was self defense. Pilar fell on her own knife. The coroner will be able to tell when they see the position of the body.
>> Simon: Listen, Margo, Katie's been through enough. Can we please -- can I just take her home.
>> Margo: All right, all right, all right. Fine. I've got to get your statement later, though.
>> Mike: Would you mind calling Henry? Let him know that Katie's all right.
>> Margo: Sure.
>> Simon: Come on, let's go.
>> Katie: Wait. Are you okay?
>> Mike: Yeah, I'm fine.
>> Katie: I'm sorry. I know that you were close to her at one time.
>> Mike: Go home, get some rest.

Scene 10:
Location: Frasier Cottage
Scene: Living Room

SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, HENRY COLEMAN

>> Henry: You were right about her all along, bubbles. That woman was out there where the buses don't run.
>> Katie: Yeah, well, I didn't want her to die, Henry. Thank god you called Mike when you did.
>> Henry: And Simon -- Simon was right there ready to do the hero thing the whole time.
>> Simon: It's fine. Thanks, Henry. Listen, do you mind grabbing Katie a cup of tea?
>> Henry: Sure. Tea -- how about something from Java with some extra whipped cream.
>> Katie: No, no, no, no. I don't want you to leave, please. This is our last night before we go to Australia.
>> Henry: Then it's my last night to treat you like a princess. They may be short on lattes out in the Outback. I won't be long. I promise.
>> Simon: Hey. Are you okay?
>> Katie: I'm just going to miss him so much.
>> Simon: Listen, after everything that's gone on tonight -- you love it here. Maybe we'd be crazy to leave all this behind.
>> Katie: So you don't want to go to Australia?
>> Simon: No, of course I want to go to Australia. I just -- I want you to be happy.
>> Katie: Is this about Pilar -- because she's dead? I don't get it, Simon. How come all of a sudden you don't want us to go?
>> Simon: Yeah, well, of course this is all about Pilar. I mean, sweetheart, you've had a very traumatic night tonight, and the last thing that you want to do, and the last thing I want to do right now is just hop on a plane and leave.
>> Katie: So you don't want to start over in Australia anymore?
>> Simon: No, yes, I want to start over with you. That doesn't mean we have to leave everything you love and everyone you love behind. What is it?
>> Katie: Pilar said you break your promises, that I'd be better off dead than a lifetime with you. She acted like she hated you, Simon, but she didn't even know you. Why would she do that?
