"SIMON FRASIER", DESI

>> Desi: Hotel El Capitan. Si, como puedo assistir, Seņor? Uh-huh. Un momento, por favor.
>> "Simon": Desi? Anyone ask for me, you know what to say. No one asks? Keep your big trap shut. Okay? Good.
>> Desi: Si, seņor.
>> "Simon": Seņorita.
["Simon" takes a fishing rod and tackle box and leaves.]

Scene 2:
Location: Avanya
Scene: El Capitan Hotel Bar

"SIMON FRASIER", KATIE FRASIER, LUCINDA WALSH, SLADE, POKER PLAYERS, WOMAN, DESI

>> Slade: Are you Mrs. Frasier?
>> Katie: I am.
>> Slade: You don't know me. My name is Slade. Such a lovely young girl, married to such a dangerous man.
>> Katie: Dangerous? Simon? No, I think you must have him confused with someone else.
>> Slade: You're the one who's confused, Mrs. Frasier. Be very careful.
>> Katie: You don't know anything about my husband, Mr. Slade. He's a wonderful man, and I don't know who you met, but there's obviously a mix-up.
>> Lucinda: Uh, Mr. -- Whatever your name is -- you're a friend of Simon Frasier's? Well, wonder of wonders! The prodigal fisherman returns.
>> "Simon": Oh, the forager has returned.
[ Rings bell and places large fish on the table.] Now is that a fish, or is that a fish? Desi, you should've seen the size of the one that got away. Hello there lovely lady. Drinks are on me. Off you go. Yeah, there you go.
>> Katie: Is that my --
>> Lucinda: Yes, it is.
>> Katie: Did he just --
>> Lucinda: Yes, he did. I mean, I don't know why. Obviously it's part of a persona he's acting to get the job done.
>> Katie: Yeah, you better be right.
>> "Simon": I've been on the high seas so long, you're even starting to look pretty good, huh? Uh, Katie?
>> Katie: Uh, yeah?
>> "Simon": Is that really you?
>> Katie: You took the words right out of my mouth, honey!
>> "Simon": Well, well, well! This is a terrific surprise!
>> Katie: A surprise, is it? You know what the surprise is? When did you start smoking those stinky things?
>> "Simon": Hey, hey, these "stinky things" cost me a pretty penny.
>> Lucinda: Yes, and whose pretty penny is it, by the way? It's my pretty penny. What are you doing fishing and smoking and doing that -- you're on a mission.
>> Katie: Since when do you fish?
>> Lucinda: Yeah, and why are you dressed like Tony Montana?
>> Katie: And don't even get me started on what you were doing with that -- waitress.
>> Lucinda: Look, she had a telegram. She got the telegram, and that's why we're here, to help you with the "complications."
>> "Simon": Whoa. Slow it up. Telegram? What telegram? Look, I didn't send anything, and I have no idea who did.

Scene 3:
Location: Avanya
Scene: El Capitan Hotel Bar

"SIMON FRASIER", KATIE FRASIER, LUCINDA WALSH, SLADE

>> "Simon": Shame on you! Shame on you for coming all the way down here and surprising me like that.
>> Katie: Frankly, I'm the one who's pretty surprised.
>> Lucinda: Hey. Look, we'll talk about the telegram later. Would you please tell us -- have you made any contact with Rose, with Paul?
>> "Simon": No. No, I haven't seen Rose and Paul. But, yes, I have crossed paths with Henry Coleman.
>> Katie: Henry Coleman? Did he tell you where they are?
>> Lucinda: Are they in good health? Has Henry hurt them?
>> "Simon": Wait, wait, wait. According to Henry, he was running from Paul, not vice versa.
>> Katie: Why are you acting so casual about this? Shouldn't you be out there looking for them?
>> "Simon": Yes, I will. Eventually. Okay? Now why don't you two ladies go on and get a little settled? I'm gonna stay down here for awhile.
>> Katie: And do what?
>> "Simon": Well, now that my lucky charm is here, I might try my hand at a few games of poker.
>> Katie: You're playing poker?
>> "Simon": Never fear. I'll come up and give you a little fun when I come up in the morning, okay? All right. Gentlemen -- I believe the game is seven-card stud. One-eyed jacks are wild. Who's dealing?
>> Katie: If he thinks he's gonna wake me up and get a "little fun," he's got another thing coming. Who is this man?
>> Lucinda: I don't know, but I'd like to have an explanation.
>> Katie: Yeah, so would I.
>> Lucinda: I don't know why he's behaving like this. Maybe it's the water! Maybe it's the rum.
>> Katie: No. Did you see the way he turned his back on me to play cards? If he thinks he's coming up for a little late-night fun, he's got another thing coming, because I am not giving him anything until I figure out what is going on here.
>> Lucinda: I wanna hear all about that.
>> Katie: Thank you. I think I'll do it now.
>> Lucinda: No, no, no. Don't. Please don't. This is Avanya. You know? You gotta be beautiful and the wife and just know where your place is. You gotta be very careful and very wise.
>> Katie: It's the 21st century.
>> Lucinda: Yes, in macho Avanya.
>> Katie: So what do I do? I just sit back and get treated like this?
>> Lucinda: Why don't we, you know, drink up? Why don't we go to our rooms? Why don't we get some rest? We'll talk to him in the morning. Here's to our trip and the success of the trip. Everything will look better. We'll get an explanation in the morning.
>> Katie: All right. All right, I guess you're right.
>> Lucinda: All right. Good night. I'm on my way. I hope the beds are cleaner than the reception.
>> Slade: I'll speak to you again soon, Mrs. Frasier.
