Scene 1:
Location: The Cottage
Scene: Living Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Simon: You've changed your mind about me going to find Rose and Paul?
>> Katie: Yeah.
>> Simon: Well, you could've spared me that meeting with Lucinda. Do you know how hard it is to say no to that woman?
>> Katie: Yeah, I know, but you did it -- for me, which is why I want you to go down to Avanya, if that's still
what you want.
>> Simon: I don't know what I want. The last few months have been really rough, Katie. To run off now on another
high-risk adventure, I --
>> Katie: Go, run, risk, please.
>> Simon: You don't mean that.
>> Katie: I don't want you staying here just because of me.
>> Simon: I'd be doing this for the both of us. I want to be here with you, sawing things, fixing things, rebuilding our
life together. I do.
>> Katie: And I love you so much for saying that -- which is why I know I'm right. You do have to go.
>> Simon: Wow. If I could just get in your brain, just for a little bit, and walk around, I might understand how it works.
>> Katie: Hey, it's so obvious. You love traveling, you love taking chances, and you love helping people. If I deny you
that part of yourself --
>> Simon: I'll feel suffocated? No. I've already told you that's not gonna happen. Baby, being married to you provides
all the thrills that I need. So -- can I stay home?
>> Katie: No, I don't think so. See, I was so mad at Lily for even suggesting that you go down and help Rose that I went
and talked to Margo about it. And you know what she said? That if I were in Rose's predicament, she would do anything
to get me home. And for the first time, I actually felt what it was like to have a sister. And I can't let Lily
lose hers.
>> Simon: You're sure about this?
>> Katie: I know there's something in you that needs to do this. But, ultimately, the decision is yours, Simon -- and
yours alone.
Scene 2:
Location: The Cottage
Scene: Living Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Simon: Yeah, now, I get it. I get it.
>> Katie: Get what?
>> Simon: I know why you're leaving this decision up to me. You're good. You're very good.
>> Katie: What are you talking about?
>> Simon: What am I -- this is one of those tests. I know one of these tests. It's like the "do I look fat in these
jeans?" If I get that question wrong, I'm in husband hell.
>> Katie: No, I'm telling you, I swear, whether you stay or go, I am totally happy with either choice.
>> Simon: Well, let's make this decision together. Weigh up the pros and cons.
>> Katie: Okay. Whatever. Let's see. The pros for going -- Lily thinks Rose is in real danger.
>> Simon: And Lucinda agrees.
>> Katie: And she is in a very dangerous country, and I don't really like the fact of you risking your life.
>> Simon: Well, I'm not so crazy about it myself.
>> Katie: But you are quick on your feet.
>> Simon: I have pretty good instincts.
>> Katie: You know the international community.
>> Simon: Wow, you've really thought about this, haven't you?
>> Katie: Ah -- only nonstop since Lily came by.
>> Simon: And?
>> Katie: And I -- I know I'm gonna miss you like crazy. I can't even think about it. But I also know that if
anything happened to Rose, we'd never be able to forgive ourselves.
>> Simon: You really are an incredible person, you know that?
>> Katie: Yeah, I know. It was your fault. Before you, I was so selfish. It was, Katie all the time. Katie, Katie,
Katie. But not anymore.
>> Simon: So do you want to go call Lily up and tell her what a fine person you are?
>> Katie: Could you? This brave front I'm putting on -- it's for a limited time only.
Scene 3:
Location: The Cottage
Scene: Living Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Katie: Let me guess. Lily is so excited that you're going, that she can hardly stand it.
>> Simon: Well, she's more relieved than glad. She said to say thank you and promised that Holden would fix anything
that breaks around here while I'm gone.
>> Katie: Oh, he can't fix my heart.
>> Simon: Katie, I thought you were okay with this.
>> Katie: I am. I am, really. I just -- it's not going to stop me from missing you.
>> Simon: I'm going to miss you, too.
>> Katie: So when do you leave?
>> Simon: Ah, well, actually, Lily heard from Paul. And he's run out of cash and needs help straight away. So I'm flying
to Mexico in Lucinda's jet -- tonight.
>> Katie: Tonight?
>> Simon: I know it doesn't leave us much time, but --
>> Katie: Well, we probably shouldn't waste it then.
Scene 4:
Location: The Cottage
Scene: Living Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Simon: Nothing is going to keep me away from you, ever.
>> Katie: And watch out for the bad guys.
>> Simon: I'm going to be badder.
>> Katie: And you'll be very, very, extremely careful.
>> Simon: And you're not going to worry. Baby, please, I need to know you're going to be okay with this.
>> Katie: I'm fine. I'm not going to worry. I totally trust you and your judgment.
>> Simon: Okay, that's nice. Now the truth.
>> Katie: Okay. I do trust you. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to worry about you every second of every day.
>> Simon: You have to promise me that you're not going to follow me. Okay? Because if I know you're tagging along,
then I'm going to be anxious. If I'm anxious, I'm not going to be paying attention. And that could cost us both
very dearly.
>> Katie: All right. I'll stay here, on one condition -- when you get back, will you stay.
>> Simon: It's a deal.
Scene 5:
Location: The Cottage
Scene: Living Room
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Simon: You sure you don't want to stay at the Lakeview while I'm gone?
>> Katie: No, no. This is our home. I wanna stay here.
>> Simon: And you're going to be all right here? Alone? In the woods?
>> Katie: Are you kidding? I have Snickers the attack rabbit.
>> Katie: You'll call me as soon as you get there.
>> Simon: I'm going to call you sooner than that. Don't be lonely, all right? Go into town, hang out with people.
[ Horn beeps ] I've gotta go.
>> Simon: I love you so much, Katie Frasier.
>> Katie: I love you so much, Simon Frasier.
