Scene 1:
Place: Near Beaver Cove, Canada.
Location: A cabin.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND CELIA FRASIER
>> Lily: I -- I don't have your diamond. But you need me. I am not useless to you.
>> Celia: Why?
>> Lily: Because I was the last one to see it. I can tell you exactly what happened to that diamond.
>> Celia: You would say anything to save your own life.
>> Lily: You're right. But it's true.
>> Celia: Oh, that's a good one. Did you learn that line from Simon?
>> Lily: I am so tired of you and your brother. You're both greedy and selfish.
You're so anxious to move on, you'd be killing your one chance to get that
stone! If -- once I'm gone, it's your last chance to ever see that "Rose of Sharon" again!
Scene 2:
Location: A cabin.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND CELIA FRASIER
>> Simon: Lily's right, Celia. Don't be a fool!
>> Celia: "Fool"? Don't you call the kettle black, dear brother.
>> Simon: But Lily was the last one to see the diamond.
>> Lily: I was with Rose. We had the stone -
>> Simon: You are not a murderer, Celia.
>> Celia: You know better than that, don't you?
>> Simon: Come on, come on. She can lead us to the fortune.
>> Celia: "Us"? "Us" -- we're not on the same team!
>> Simon: Come on -- we are still family, Celia.
>> Celia: Oh, now, that's debatable!
>> Simon: I don't believe this. Come on, just -- remember, back in the days, we
were -- we were so close.
>> Celia: Once, when we believed in fairy tales and pots of gold. But we're
certainly not children anymore, are we?
>> Simon: Celia, please, please. Think. Just think about what you're about to
do.
>> Lily: Don't beg, Simon. You're only making matters worse. I think you're
right. I don't think you need him.
>> Simon: What? Lily --
>> Lily: Why share? I can take you to the diamond, but we have to go back to
Atlantic City.
>> Simon: Oh, you're kind -- after everything I've done for you, you are selling
me out?
>> Lily: I just want it to be over, Simon.
>> Simon: If you throw in with Celia, it'll be over, all right! You're gonna
wind up dead!
Scene 3:
Location: A cabin.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRASIER, AND CELIA FRASIER
>> Simon: Lily, you are out of your mind to throw in with Celia!
>> Lily: I'm not throwing in. I'm trying to get out.
>> Simon: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, but what price?
>> Celia: Oh, a lovers' spat.
>> Simon: Lily, please don't leave me behind.
>> Lily: Why didn't you tell me about her?
>> Simon: It was under control.
>> Celia: Oh, yeah, like you could ever keep me under control, Simon brother.
>> Simon: Celia doesn't know your family or your kids -- your kids the way I
do. She doesn't care. She doesn't even care about delivering you to them safe
and sound.
>> Lily: And you do?
>> Simon: Look, you know -- you know, I do.
>> Celia: You see, Simon's always been very good with the kiddies, especially
when the wife or the mother was a looker.
>> Simon: Just shut up! Don't -- don't listen to her.
>> Lily: Why didn't you tell me about her? She was the one that was shooting at
us in Atlantic City, right?
>> Simon: I tried to protect you, all right?
>> Celia: "Protect"? You ran for cover.
>> Simon: Lily, please, just look at me. Look at me!
>> Celia: You're losing your touch. She doesn't want what you're selling, mate.
Back off.
>> Simon: Celia, just let me talk to you alone, please. Outside -- and I will
never ask anything of you again.
>> Celia: Oh, I doubt that. You just remember, I'm even less interested in
helping you than she is. Go on. Go on.
>> Simon: Celia, you don't know Lily the way I do. She can be very crafty.
>> Celia: Unlike you?
>> Simon: Look, I have been after that diamond for months.
>> Celia: Well, you've done a pretty bad job, haven't you?
>> Simon: Okay, fine, but I still have a better knowledge than you of the
players. What if Rose is still involved? Do you really think you can tell her
and Lily apart?
>> Celia: Can you?
>> Simon: Yes! Yes, I know that casino like the back of my hand. I spent enough
time there. And Lily told me that she's hidden the diamond in an old fuse box.
>> Celia: And you believe that?
>> Simon: Yeah. Well, no -- I don't know. But I believe it's worth checking out.
>> Celia: Well, I can do that. I don't need your help for that.
>> Simon: And what if it's empty? What next? Celia, don't underestimate Lily,
all right? She has duped me more than once.
>> Celia: That isn't very difficult, darling.
>> Simon: I understand Lily -- you know, they way she thinks, what she wants,
what makes her tick.
>> Celia: Simon, darling, you have butchered this entire search. I would be
better off with a bloodhound and a divining rod.
>> Simon: She has fought me every step of the way, Celia, and she will fight
you, as well. She'll outfox you.
>> Celia: I am not nearly as trusting and naive as you are.
>> Simon: Come on, we should stop pulling apart on this. Let's work together.
Together, we can keep Lily under control and we can reclaim the diamond, and
then decide what to do with it.
Scene 4:
Location: Outside the cabin.
SIMON FRASIER AND CELIA FRASIER
>> Celia: I don't know what's more pathetic -- you or your would-be girlfriend
in there.
>> Simon: I will get Lily to help you, all right? We will both help you.
>> Celia: Oh, that's such a crock, Simon. The two of you are desperate fools.
>> Simon: Just tell me you're not gonna hurt her.
>> Celia: Well, all I want from her is the truth.
>> Simon: Maybe she's already told you that, Celia. Maybe the fuse box story
could is the truth.
>> Celia: Yeah, well, we'll find out, won't we? Hmm?
>> Simon: Celia, what are you doing?
>> Celia: I'm gonna play a little game with Lily. It's called the truth game.
You see, if she lies, then I'll file down her fingernails the hard way.
>> Simon: No, no, no, that's insane.
>> Celia: No, but you know what? It works, doesn't it?
>> Simon: No, no, no! I'm not gonna let you --
>> Celia: Get out of my way!
>> Simon: I'm not gonna let you hurt her!
>> Celia: Get out of my way. Get out of my way.
>> Simon: No!
[Lily knocks Simon out when he re-enters the cabin.]
Scene 5:
Location: A cabin.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, AN UNCONSCIOUS SIMON FRASIER, AND CELIA FRASIER
[Lily is holding a black metal candle holder.]
>> Celia: Drop it now! Now!
>> Lily: Simon, are you all right?
>> Celia: Oh, thank you, Simon. My skull certainly does appreciate it.
>> Lily: Oh, I could've killed him!
>> Celia: Oh, don't worry. His head is far harder than his heart. He'll be fine
after a little nap.
>> Lily: Simon, wake up. Simon!
>> Celia: Isn't it funny how your knight in shining armor ended up saving me.
Ah, well, "and then there were three." What do say you and me and my gun have a
little chat?
Scene 6:
Location: A cabin.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, AN UNCONSCIOUS SIMON FRASIER, AND CELIA FRASIER
>> Lily: He needs a doctor.
>> Celia: Well, there's no time for being nursemaid now. It's game time, Lily.
Are you ready for the rules? Rule number one, I ask the question, you answer
truthfully. All right? You lie, I shoot off a finger. See, ten lies, ten
fingers, okay? No lifelines, no 50/50. All right. Just the truth. Over there,
go, now. Where's that fuse box?
>> Lily: There is no fuse box. I lied to Simon to keep him off balance.
>> Celia: All right, then where's the diamond?
>> Lily: Rose has it.
>> Celia: Your look-alike?
>> Lily: Yes!
>> Celia: Is that your final answer?
>> Lily: It's true! I am telling you, it is true. Rose has the diamond! It was
inherited by her through her family! She has it.
>> Celia: Good. Where's Rose? Where do I find her?
>> Lily: You're never gonna be able to track her down by yourself.
>> Celia: Oh, really. I don't know, I found you and little boy bludgeoned.
>> Lily: No, no, no. Even if you find her, she won't talk to you.
>> Celia: She doesn't love her fingers the way you do.
>> Lily: Oh, she doesn't have children, she doesn't have a family. She has no
weak spots. She's tough. She was brought up the hard way.
>> Celia: But she'll listen to you, will she? Get over there.
>> Lily: Yeah, because I'm her friend. She'd still be in Atlantic City wearing
that diamond on her headdress if it weren't for me. That's where we have to go.
I can find her. I'm telling you she -- I know where she hides. I know who she
would contact. She'll never have to know that you're a part of this at all.
Please, I promise you. She won't run from me, because she trusts me. I'm
probably the only person she's ever trusted in her life. I can take you to the
diamond, but you have to take me along with you. Please!
Scene 7:
Location: A cabin.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, AN UNCONSCIOUS SIMON FRASIER AND CELIA FRASIER
>> Celia: All right. We'll go back to Atlantic City and find your precious
Rose. But if you try anything -- anything at all -- you're dead. Fair enough?
>> Lily: Simon, -- he can't travel.
>> Celia: Well, Simon doesn't have to travel. I've got a little riddle for you,
Lily. What's the difference between my brother and a paperweight? Huh? The
paperweight serves more of a function. Oh, poor darling Simon, I am so sorry,
but you literally are dead weight.
