Scene 1:
Place: Deserted island off of the North Carolina coast - Atlantic Ocean.
Location: The cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Lily: Don't go please, Holden. Holden!
>> Simon: Hey, hey, hey. It's okay. It was just a dream. You're all right, it's all right.
>> Lily: Nothing's gonna be all right. Nothing's gonna be all right again.
>> Simon: Calm down, calm down. You want to talk about it, huh? Just get it off your chest.
>> Lily: I've had it before. I'm standing on the beach. I'm waiving down a plane or a ship or something. And I see Holden and
the kids walking down the beach. And they're -- they're waving at me, and they're smiling, and they're coming towards me.
And I go towards them, and I can't move. My feet are stuck in the sand. I try to go to them, but I can't move. And their voices
get softer and softer. I try to go after them, but then I can't. They just -- they just disappear.
>> Simon: I'm sorry.
>> Lily: I want to hold my children again. Luke has probably grown a foot. How many firsts have I missed?!
>> Simon: You'll be home soon. You'll see them soon.
>> Lily: No, no, no, no. We can't, nothing's gonna help us by staying here. We gotta get out of here. We got to do
something.
>> Simon: Lily, there's a madman out there waiting to filet us. He's already taken a swipe at you and connected!
>> Lily: I cannot sit here in this cave and do nothing!
>> Simon: You are lucky you can sit at all. Lily, just be grateful that you are still alive.
>> Lily: I am grateful. And I am determined, and I am seizing power.
>> Simon: What're you talking about?
>> Lily: We cannot just stand by and wait for that whacko to attack us again! We have to do something ourselves. We gotta
ambush, and we gotta do something. We gotta ambush him, we gotta finish him off first!
Scene 2:
Location: The cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Simon: Lily, you are not a murderer.
>> Lily: This is about survival, Simon, kill or be killed.
>> Simon: All right, is that what you learned in all those fancy boarding schools, huh?
>> Lily: I've dealt with enough psychos in my life. Maybe a little bit better dressed, a little bit more polite, but every bit as
vicious. Come on! Simon! There's two of us.
>> Simon: Yes, yeah, and two of them -- the guy and his machete. All right, just calm down. Let's just sit down, let's give this
some more thought, please.
COOLEY YELLS FROM OUTSIDE THE CAVE.
>> Cooley: Boyfriend!
>> Lily: I'm going home to Holden and my children. And if that means taking care of that maniac, then I'm doing it.
>> Simon: Ssh!
>> Cooley: Girlie girl, girl.
>> Simon: So much for planning.
>> Lily: Well, you knew he'd come back. Well, he's game now.
>> Cooley: Olly, olly oxen free. Baby, I missed you!
>> Lily: He thinks he has total control over us now.
>> Simon: Close enough.
>> Cooley: I got somethin' To show ya'! You sore at me over a little cut? I'm sorry. You come on out --
I'll kiss it and make it well!
>> Simon: What, are you, crazy?! You are not going out there!
>> Lily: Like staying here is going to accomplish anything?
>> Simon: He's stark raving mad!
>> Lily: So am I. You want to stay in here inside this cave? That's fine, but I'm going out there, and I'm going home. Get out
of my way!
>> Simon: Lily!
Scene 3:
Location: Outside of the cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRAISER, AND COOLEY
>> Cooley: Oh, you're movin' pretty good, baby. Now, ain't this a picture. Little woman, big man. Bigger knife, no man.
>> Lily: Let me take care of this, Simon, please.
>> Cooley: 'Less you wanta end up chopped liver, boyfriend. See, I just put a real fine edge on this thing. It's sharp enough
to shave with.
>> Simon: What was it you wanted to show us?
>> Cooley: Oh, it's not what I got. It's what you got -- my radio. You pick up anything yet?
>> Simon: No, it's dead.
>> Cooley: Well, no, it's not dead. It's just missin' its heart.
>> Lily: That'll make the radio work?
>> Cooley: Oh, smart girl, now why would you want to hang around with him?
>> Lily: So the radio does work --
>> Cooley: Oh, yeah. Always worked for me, sugar lips.
>> Lily: How far is the signal, who far does it go?
>> Cooley: Clear cross a continent. I mean, that's how I keep up with current events. I don't want to bore myself in
conversation. You know, I been thinking about us being the only three people on this island, you know, being neighbors and
all. We should make nice.
>> Simon: Oh, you have, have you?
>> Cooley: Yeah, I have. See, we can make a deal. You get what you want, the diode, if I get what I want.
>> Simon: Yeah, and what would that be?
>> Cooley: Same as any man. It's like a dinosaur's lifetime since I even saw a woman. And a looker like you. A man gets
lonely, real lonely. But I'm not greedy. I'll hand over the diode if sweet Lily will share my bed for one unforgettable night.
Scene 4:
Location: Outside of the cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER, SIMON FRAISER, AND COOLEY.
>> Simon: Your idea is disgusting.
>> Cooley: It's only disgusting except in your mind, dingo boy. Don't you know you'd be shark bait if it wasn't for sweet Lily
here? Now, if she comes to my hut tomorrow and we do the kinds of things a man and woman do, then I'll hand over the
diode.
>> Lily: We need that. We need to make a signal to get out of here.
>> Cooley: Unlimited SOS capability, sweetheart. Or you can say "no" to my limited term, no exchange, no refund offer, and I'll
kill both of you just for the hell of it. No pressure. You think it over. I'll be back tomorrow.
Scene: The cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Simon: Don't worry, all right. I'll think of something.
>> Lily: Simon, face it. His way, we both may be able to stay alive.
>> Simon: Yeah, but not without some substantial injury.
>> Lily: We need the radio.
>> Simon: If I had that machete, I could get that diode.
>> Lily: You could end up dead.
>> Simon: Oh! Great, thanks for the vote of confidence.
>> Lily: We've already taken too many risks already. Maybe we should just give him what he wants.
Scene 5:
Location: The cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Simon: Lily, you must have -- you must have heat stroke. You -- you're thinking of spending a night with that -- that
pig?
>> Lily: I'm perfectly sane.
>> Simon: Okay, what about -- what about your marriage? Huh? What about Holden and the kids?
>> Lily: What about living long enough to see them again? Simon, he wants to kill us! We have to see things his way. If he
has a thing for me, let's use that.
>> Simon: I just cannot believe that you would actually let him --
>> Lily: Let him touch me? Never! But he doesn't have to know that.
>> Simon: Lily, this guy has got some -- some x-rated island fantasy running through his demented little mind and you are
starring in it.
>> Lily: I would never let that skeevy wretch touch me, trust me. Please, I can handle him.
>> Simon: You seem to have it all worked out. Good. Fine. Have fun. We'll see you in the morning.
>> Lily: Look, Simon, I am not the same woman that washed up on this island. You are the one who taught me how to
survive. It took every ounce of courage for me to decide to go on that raft. Risking dehydration, shark attacks, everything --
just to get home to see my family. I don't care how sharp the edge is on that knife of that lunatic, I am going home. You care
to hear my plan?
>> Simon: As if I have a choice.
Scene 6:
Location: The cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Lily: It'll work. You don't think it'll work?
>> Simon: I just think -- I think you have some sort of a -- some sort of island fever.
>> Lily: You've got a better plan?
>> Simon: No, not yet. But I will.
>> Lily: Please, let's just try it.
>> Simon: It is way too risky, Lily.
>> Lily: Just please try --
>> Simon: No, I'm not going to listen. No.
>> Lily: Please don't say no. Come on, Simon, we at least have to try. It's our only chance of getting off this island alive!
