Scene 1:
[ Lily's Room at the Signora Cordina's Villa ]
[ Signora Cordina is listening outside the door ]

>> Simon: We will find Holden and Luke. Okay? I promise.
>> Lily: I'm beginning to believe that. Goodnight Simon.
>> Simon: Goodnight Lily.
>> Katie: [ bursting into Lily's room ] I knew it. I knew it. You know what? I have the wrong room.
>> Simon: Don't you dare move. Come here. What the hell are you doing here?
>> Katie: I followed you from Oakdale. That whole thing about how you needed to protect Lily, I thought it was just an excuse for you guys to ---. You know, and then you came into this room together. I'm sorry I have to go.
>> Simon: Don't move. Come here.
>> Lily: How you even think of coming here?
>> Katie: Malta's a beautiful place. What? You only the Lily Snyder's of the world?
>> Simon: Do you realize the danger that you probably put us all in by coming here?
>> Katie: Danger? Please, you're talking to someone who just spent weeks on an island living off of rotten mangoes and defending herself from the last Cro-Magnon man. This place is paradise.

Scene 2:
[ Lily's Room at the Signora Cordina's Villa ]

>> Katie: Why do I feel like I've been sent to the principal's office
>> Simon: I want you to explain right now how you got here, who saw you, if anyone asked questions about us.
>> Katie: I followed you from Oakdale because I was worried about you. I was. And every time you get involved with this woman, nothing good comes of it. It wasn't easy to follow you, either. The minute we landed, you got whisked off in that helicopter. I had to ride a bike up all these hills. I almost passed out. Then, when the bike broke, I jumped on an onion truck. I couldn't even breathe.
>> Simon: Who followed you here?
>> Katie: No one. I don't know.
>> Simon: Wait, wait, wait. So you were on the plane the entire time? I didn't even see you.
>> Katie: That's because I was dressed up as a nun, so you might've missed me. It's actually a really good look for me.
>> Simon: You were that -- you were that nun I saw heading into the bathroom?
>> Katie: That was me, and you know what? I had such a problem trying to get into first class. You would think the religious people would get an automatic upgrade.
>> Simon: Zip it! Just -- how did you track us down here?
>> Katie: Well, I heard the stewardess talking to you about that fortress. What was the name of it? The Knights of Saint Joan --
>> Lily: John.
>> Katie: Anyway, by the time I got there, you guys were taking off in some beautiful, big car, so I hopped on the back of some guy's moped. "La Dolce Vita," it was not.
>> Lily: You think this is funny? This is not a pleasure trip for me. My husband and my son's lives are at risk here. Do you have any idea? You could have made things worse for them!
>> Katie: I don't see how.
>> Simon: Look at you, Katie! Look! It's not like you're gonna go being passed unnoticed in this town.
>> Katie: I didn't mention your names to anyone!
>> Simon: You probably didn't have to! You probably just led them straight to the door.
>> Lily: I am trying to get questions answered here. Your tricks, your little antics, may have alerted Damian or the people that kidnapped Luke and Holden!
>> Simon: Lily, please don't get upset.
>> Lily: If anything happens to them, do you understand? I will kill you myself!
>> Simon: Please, just let me deal with this, okay?
>> Lily: Fine. This room is getting way too crowded. [ Lily leaves the room ]
>> Katie: Well, someone's a little cranky. Baby, it's so good to see you.
>> Simon: What do you think -- ? What do you think you're doing?
>> Katie: I'm picking up where we left off. You can't blame me for following you, Simon. You just got done rescuing me. You risked your life for me, and we were just getting close, and then you took off.
>> Simon: I am beginning to think that getting close to you has a way too big a price tag.
>> Katie: You don't mean that. Lily, again, of course. She's turned you against me.
>> Simon: No! No, Katie. No, this time you brought all this on yourself.
>> Katie: Just a few days ago, you said you loved me.
>> Simon: No, what I said was that I wasn't --
>> Katie: Simon, I know you hedged it, but you said those three words to me. You said them, and you can't take them back.
>> Simon: You know what? Whatever I said -- whatever I said, this little stunt has made me want to retract everything in full!
>> Katie: Simon, no, please. Please, you are everything I have ever wanted in this life. I have given up everything for you.
>> Simon: Have you even stopped to think about what Lily's going through right now? Do you know what we found at that fort? Lily walked into a room that was sprayed with bullets and blood everywhere. Holden's wedding ring was on the floor.
>> Katie: Oh, my God.
>> Simon: We don't even know if anyone's alive. Now, I've convinced her to keep searching and not to give up hope.
>> Katie: I wasn't thinking --
>> Simon: No. No, you weren't. Just put yourself in her shoes, okay, for one second. Imagine you lost someone, someone closer to you than anyone in the whole world.
>> Katie: Don't say that, Simon. I can't.
>> Simon: How does it feel?
>> Katie: It feels like there's no reason to live. Can you ever forgive me?
[ Lily walks back in the room ]
>> Simon: I'm not the one you should be apologizing to.
>> Katie: Lily, I'm so sorry. I wasn't thinking about what you were going through. I was only thinking about myself. If I put myself in your shoes, I don't know what I would do or how I would get through this.
>> Lily: Save it, Katie. What are we going to do with her?
>> Katie: What do you mean? I mean, you can't just kick me out, not now.
>> Lily: I want her gone.
>> Katie: Please, just let me stay. Let me help you. I am good at finding things. I found that diamond -- before I lost it.
>> Lily: I don't want to hear anything right now from you.
>> Simon: Let's go, Katie.
>> Katie: Simon, I don't have any more money.
>> Lily: You're resourceful. You'll figure something out.
>> Simon: Come on.
>> Katie: Simon?

Scene 3:
[ Lily's Room at the Signora Cordina's Villa ]

>> Lily: Signora Cordina, what were you doing right outside our door?
>> Katie: Listening through the keyhole.
>> Signora Cordina: It is I that should question you. I rented you this room out of kindness. This is a small Pensione. I get my guests through recommendation only. But I took a chance on you.
>> Lily: And I'm very grateful.
>> Signora Cordina: And I looked the other way when you brought this man here, because I know, in life, one gets lonely. But two women and a man in one bedroom? No. I have a reputation to uphold.
>> Katie: Whoa. Are you suggesting that we're having a --
>> Simon: Katie --
>> Lily: I know this looks very -- a little strange, but I reassure you that this woman right here is leaving, now.
>> Signora Cordina: I hope she has made arrangements, because all of the hotels in this area are full, and I cannot make arrangements for her to travel tonight.
>> Lily: Of course you can't. You've gone out of your way so much for me already, and I appreciate it.
>> Katie: So I guess that means I'm gonna have to stay here tonight, huh?
>> Lily: Can you please let her stay just one night? I will pay whatever you think is fair.
>> Signora Cordina: Very well, but I can only allow one night.
>> Lily: Of course. I understand.
>> Signora Cordina: Buona notte, then.
>> Lily: Good night.
>> Katie: Does anyone else feel like we're spending the night at the Bates Motel?
>> Simon: Lily, I don't like this. I mean, she could have knocked and asked us what was going on, but instead, she's listening outside the door? For how long?
>> Lily: I know it seems a little strange, but she's been so helpful to me.
>> Katie: She didn't seem very helpful tonight.
>> Simon: Think about it. Think about it. She appears exactly when you need her. She rents you this room. She gives you directions to the fort. She even gives you her son's car to get there. And now, she's clearly angry that you're not alone -- why?
>> Katie: You think she could be involved with the people that kidnapped Holden and Luke? Do you think they're gonna hurt us?
>> Simon: No. No, no one's hurting anyone. I'm gonna sleep outside tonight and keep watch.
>> Katie: Okay.
>> Simon: Hey, hey! Alone.
>> Lily: Maybe we're just being paranoid.
>> Simon: Or maybe we're not, Lily. I promised your mother I was going to get you home in one piece, and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
>> Katie: What about me? You're just gonna make me sleep alone? Simon?
>> Lily: Leave him alone, Katie.
>> Katie: Oh, no, no, no. Lily, that's okay. You take the bed. I'll sleep -- I'll sleep on the floor.

Scene 3:
[ Lily's Room at the Signora Cordina's Villa ]

>> Katie: Lily, are you awake? I don't know if you're really asleep or you just don't want to talk to me, but I hope you hear this. I didn't mean to put Holden and Luke in danger or make things more difficult for you. I only came here because of Simon. The way I feel about him, it's -- I can't even describe it. Maybe it's how you feel about Holden. I mean, I know that we haven't been together as long as you guys, but maybe when you first got together it felt like this. I don't know. I'm just crazy about him, and as weird as it is, it's true. So again, I'm so sorry.
>> Lily: Good night, Katie.
>> Katie: 'Night, Lily. 'Night, Simon.

[ Elsewhere in the Villa ]
[ Signora Cordina is talking on the phone as Simon listens in ]

>> Signora Cordina: I don't know who they are. All I know is suddenly Signora Snyder has two guests. I don't know if they believe it or not. You have to do something about the two Americans. Move them. Move them out of Argotti as soon as possible.
