Scene 1:
Location: Milltown
Scene: The Old Mill
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
> >> Simon: Say it again. I need to hear you say it again.
> >> Lily: I have to be with you, not two years from now, not until you get
a
green card, but now.
> >> Simon: All right. Do you understand -- do you understand what this
means?
> >> Lily: Yes, I do.
> >> Simon: And you're really ready, no matter what it takes?
> >> Lily: No matter what it takes. I can't live like this any more, loving
you,
not being able to be with you. The situation is driving me crazy.
> >> Simon: Then you'll understand my madness, too. Everything is you.
Every song on I hear on the radio, it's about you. Every time I see
someone
say "I love you" on the TV, it's you talking to me. I'm hopeless, and I
wouldn't want it any other way. Just tell me -- I need you to tell me you
understand how much this is gonna change your life, that there is no going
back.
> >> Lily: I don't want to live in the past any more. I want a future. I
want a
future with you.
> >> Simon: Okay, it's going to get pretty brutal, you know that. When I get
deported -- and I don't see any way around that -- you're gonna have to
leave
the states, too.
> >> Lily: I know. But I'll be with you, and it'll be better than the island
because I'll realize how lucky I am. I lie in bed at night and I think
about
you, and I ache for you and I miss you and I think about you, lying in
bed,
thinking about me, missing me, and, for a moment, I feel fine, and then I
realize there's someone else in the bed next to you. And I cannot go
through
another night like that.
> >> Simon: All right, you won't have to. I'll end it with Katie, tonight.
Scene 2:

Scene: The Old Mill
LILY SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER
> >> Lily: I love you. I love you so much.
> >> Simon: I love you with all my heart. But I have to ask you this. What
about Holden? Are you going to ask him for a divorce?
> >> Lily: I just hate those words. I really --
> >> Simon: I know. I know it's difficult to think about, but I just want to
> make sure that you're sure about what you're about to do.
> >> Lily: Holden has been so decent through all of this, more than you
could
possibly know.
> >> Simon: Okay, we can wait. Do you want to wait?
> >> Lily: No, we can't wait. Postponing this is not gonna make it any
easier.
Whenever I decide to tell Holden, it's going to be hard on him. And now
that
I know I have to -- I have to be with you, waiting is -- is the wrong
thing to
do. And Holden, I have to allow him to get on with his life. So, this is
what
we have to do.
> >> Simon: Okay. And what about the kids?
> >> Lily: My first priority are always the children.
> >> Simon: I know. So, how do we make this situation easier on them?
> >> Lily: Well, if you get deported, you don't have to go back to
Australia,
right? You could apply for a Canadian Visa.
> >> Simon: Yeah, I'll try. I mean, I'll do whatever it takes.
> >> Lily: Well, good, then you and I can get a place there together. And
Windsor's not that far away.
> >> Simon: And what about the house here?
> >> Lily: I'll keep the house here because I want to maintain a normal as
possible for my children. I cannot uproot them after everything they've
been
through so far. So, I figured I could go back and forth at first. I know
it's not
ideal, but --
> >> Simon: Lily, it's so much more than what we have now, so it is
beyond --
it is beyond ideal.
> >> Lily: Right.
> >> Simon: You really have thought about all this, haven't you?
> >> Lily: Oh, night and day, inside and out, believe me. And it breaks my
heart thinking of separating the children from Holden, but it broke both
of
our hearts trying to make it work. It wasn't working. I was thinking about
you all the time, and I was a million miles away. I can't believe this. I
can't.
We're making plans! We're making real plans for a life together.
> >> Simon: I can't believe it, either. This is really happening.
> >> Lily: I know. So, now, we only have one more obstacle.
> >> Simon: Katie.
Scene 3:
Location: Milltown
Scene: The Old Mill
LILY SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER
> >> Lily: Katie knows what she wants, and that's all she knows. I've seen
it
before. She fixates on something, then she creates a situation to make it
a
reality. Why did we have to think of that? Couldn't we think of anything
else
-- anything else other than marrying Katie to stay in the country?!
> >> Simon: Okay, if it's true that Katie feels this way, then it's just as
well
that I end it with her, and the sooner, the better. But look, I know you
don't
feel this way, but she's not a bad person, okay? And I don't want to hurt
her.
So, I'll break the news to her gently, and then let the immigration know
that
she had nothing to do with this.
> >> Lily: You're one of the good ones. That's why I love you so much.
> >> Simon: Well, we should go 'cause we have a lot to do.
> >> Lily: Okay. I'll wait to hear from you before I talk to Holden.
> >> Simon: Good.
> >> Lily: Simon, this is the right thing, isn't it?
> >> Simon: This is the only thing. So, I'll call you as soon as I've told
Katie.
Scene 4:
Location: Burt's Garage
MRS KATIE FRASIER AND SIMON FRASIER
> >> Katie: Hi.
> >> Simon: Look, Katie, I've been driving around, thinking about -- about
us.
About what this deception has to be doing to you. And I know that you're
worried what might happen to you if the I.N.S. Finds out that this
marriage
is all a sham.
> >> Katie: Yeah, Halliwell was pretty scary the other day at his office.
> >> Simon: I know. I know. And I want you to know that I'm going to look
after you, that I won't let you suffer any fallout for being involved in
my
situation.
> >> Katie: I don't think we need to worry about Halliwell convinced that
> we're real.
> >> Simon: Why's that? What's different?
> >> Katie: A lot. I haven't really wanted to face this, but time is running
out,
and I don't have a lot of choices. I'm going to have your baby, Simon.
