Scene 1:
Location: Lily Walsh Snyder's mansion.
Scene: Living room.
LILY WALSH SNYDER ALONE.
>> Lily: Atlantic city, here I come.
Location: Cal Stricklyn's farmhouse.
Scene: Living room.
SIMON FRAISER ALONE.
>> Simon: What's your lead, lily? I know you're up to something.
[Simon Fraiser sees something through the windows.]
>> Simon: What the --
[Simon races out of the house.]
[Door closes.]
Place: Atlantic City, New Jersey
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel.
Scene: Dressing room.
MITZI ALONE.
[Mitzi walks back to Rose's dressing table.]
MITZI AND ROSE
>> Mitzi: Rosie, doll, you're set. I got the reservation. The best seat in the house for your new friend. Come tonight, Mrs. Lily Snyder'll be sitting ringside, front and center.
Scene 2:
Location: Lily Walsh Snyder's mansion.
Scene: Front door.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Lily: Simon!
>> Simon: Lily, thank goodness. You all right?
>> Lily: Of course I'm all right.
>> Simon: I ran here as fast as I could.
>> Lily: I heard you outside.
>> Simon: Whoever it was took off before I got here.
>> Lily: I know you've been spying on me, simon.
>> Simon: Me? No, no, no, I wasn't spying.
>> Lily: You could have thought of a more sophisticated way to do that. Planting a listening device, lily-cam. Spying through windows, that's very low-tech.
>> Simon: Listen. I was packing some things at cal's. I looked out the window, and I saw an intruder lurking.
>> Lily: Are they still here? Are they outside? Or did they -- wait, did they go into my living room?
>> Simon: I told you. They took off.
>> Lily: Well, then I'm safe. Good-bye.
>> Simon: Listen, stop. I swear, it's the truth.
>> Lily: You know, I'll make your day. I'll bite. Who could it be? Who else could be spying on me? Hmm. I can't think of anybody else in my life who's conned his way into my life and turned it upside-down, can you?
>> Simon: Don't make light of this.
>> Lily: Then give me some answers. Who? Who else would be spying on me?
>> Simon: Trust me, all right? You don't want to know.
Scene 3:
Location: Lily Walsh Snyder's mansion.
Scene: Front door.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Lily: You throw the words "trust" and "honesty" around like you own the patent. I trusted you in my home, I trusted you to be an architect. I trusted the story that you told me that you lost the letters by the pond, that I conveniently found --
>> Simon: Okay, granted, you have no reason in the world to give me the benefit of the doubt. But believe me, lily, I wasn't spying.
>> Lily: You are absolutely right. How many times have we said good-bye? Or was that just part of the plan, too?
>> Simon: Look, I really wish I could tell you everything, but I can't.
>> Lily: Your talk, even with the sexy accent, is cheap. Now please, please leave.
>> Simon: Looks like I'm not the only one taking off. You didn't mention a trip, lily.
>> Lily: No, I didn't?
>> Simon: Where are you going?
>> Lily: Uh, well -- we are going to new york, holden and I.
>> Simon: Oh, really? Holden and -- really? Didn't I see holden leave earlier?
>> Lily: I'm meeting him in new york. He's on location. He took an earlier flight. The children are with emma. Abigail's with the munsons. Holden and I thought we could have a romantic getaway. There. Now you can abandon your post at cal's window.
>> Simon: Look, I'm really glad you're getting away.
>> Lily: Yeah, me too. It's time to give up on long-lost ancestors and mysteries that don't go anywhere. You know, why live in the past when I have such a beautiful future here with my children? Is that okay? Is that okay with you? Do you approve?
>> Simon: Deep down inside, you know I care about you, lily.
>> Lily: Simon, whatever you're selling, I'm not interested.
>> Simon: You have a wonderful trip, okay?
>> Lily: You have a nice life -- anywhere but here. I cannot believe that guy.
Scene: Outside of front door.
SIMON FRAISER ALONE.
>> Simon: You're a rotten liar, lily. I've got to find that blasted diamond before you or anyone else does.
Scene 4:
Location: Lily Walsh Snyder's mansion.
Scene: Outside of front door.
SIMON FRAISER ALONE.
>> Simon: A romantic weekend with the laptop? Yeah, right. Well, what do we have here? Only one way to find out.
Scene: Foyer.
[Simon Fraiser enters the darkened house.]
Scene: Living room.
SIMON FRAISER ALONE.
[Phone rings.]
>> Operator: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, front desk.
>> Simon: Ah, yes. Can you tell me where you're located in Manhattan?
>> Operator: About 100 miles south.
>> Simon: So you're not in New York City?
>> Operator: This is the Atlantic City Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, sir.
>> Simon: Ah, yes, of course. What was I thinking? List, I was wondering, can you tell me if a Holden Snyder has a reservation there? I think he's checking in today.
>> Operator: We have no reservation for a Holden Snyder.
>> Simon: Really? That must be my mistake. It must be under his wife's name, Lily Snyder. Does she have a reservation?
>> Operator: Yes, we're expecting Mrs. Snyder later today.
>> Simon: Great. Thank you.
Place: Atlantic City, New Jersey
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel.
Scene: Dressing room.
ROSE AND MITZI
>> Mitzi: Sorry, rose. Looks like that snyder lady's a big, fat no-show. Speaking of big, your hair --
>> Rose: When I want your opinion, I will give it to you. And nobody's called places yet. I'm not givin' up on lily snyder. Not by a long shot.
Scene 5:
Location: Lily Walsh Snyder's mansion.
Scene: Living room
SIMON FRAISER ON THE PHONE.
>> Simon: No, no, no, no. Listen, I want a direct flight. No layovers. I've got to get to atlantic city as quickly as possible. No, no, I'm not going to hold!
>> Simon: - Blast! Simon, you have got to get there before they do. Lily, you have no idea what you got yourself into.
Place: Atlantic City, New Jersey
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel
Scene: Club
[Lily Walsh Snyder enters the club.]
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND THE CLUB HOSTESS
>> Hostess: Can I help you?
>> Lily: Yes. My name is lily snyder. I'm here to see a woman named rose d'angelo.
>> Hostess: I kinda guessed. Right this way, please. Here you go. Well, look at that. People don't know they need to be seated.
>> Lily: No, no, no, I don't need a table --
[Mitzi sees Lily and drops the water she had in her hand. She flees the scene.]
Scene 6:
Place: Atlantic City, New Jersey
Location: Boardwalk Plaza Hotel
Scene: Club
LILY WALSH SNYDER ALONE.
[Hostess points at Lily and another woman seems shocked.]
>> Lily: Where is Rose?
Scene: Dressing room.
ROSE D'ANGELO AND MITZI
>> Mitzi: She's here! That's Lily. Don't ask me how I know, I just know. That's her!
>> Rose: Let's get this show on the road!
[We see Rose D'Angelo's face for the first time. It looks exactly like Lily's face. She has big red curly hair and a lot of makeup.]
