Scene: Hotel Lounge
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Katie: I never thought that we'd be sitting here, planning our first anniversary party. So many people said the odds were against us.
>> Simon: Yeah, but we showed them, didn't we? Huh?
>> Katie: We absolutely did. You know, before I met you, I actually used to listen to women talking about their wedding anniversaries and get really jealous.
>> Simon: Oh, come on! Please. You're way too progressive for that.
>> Katie: Yeah, well, just because I'm enlightened doesn't mean I can't get jealous from time to time. It just seemed so wonderful. They had this special, official holiday that they shared with no one but their husband. It seemed so special and magical. And now look at us. We're having our own special, magical, private holiday.
>> Simon: Yeah, well, it's hardly very private with all the people that we're looking to invite.
>> Katie: Oh, hey, you love it and you know it.
>> Simon: Hey, hey, hey. I love you.
>> Katie: I know you do. Simon?
>> Simon: Yes?
>> Katie: If you could pick one really special moment that you cherished out of all that we've had this year, what would it be?
>> Simon: One moment, huh? I don't know.
Scene 2:

Scene: Hotel Lounge
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Katie: What do you mean, you don't know?
>> Simon: All right, you tell me. What has been your most memorable moment of the entire year?
>> Katie: All right, well, mine has something to do with life and death experience.
>> Simon: Such as?
>> Katie: Seeing you in the hospital before I went into the transplant with Margo.
>> Simon: Yeah, when you were sneaking around, looking to give away a vital organ without my knowledge.
>> Katie: I'm sorry. You know how badly I feel about that. I never should have kept you in the dark about the operation. I just needed to do that for Margo, and I knew you were going to try and talk me out of it.
>> Simon: Well, I gave it serious thought. Believe me.
>> Katie: I know. But you didn't. You listened to me. And you told me that you were scared, but you also told me to follow my heart. You know how strong that made me feel? After I talked to you, I knew I would make it through. Because I had to, to get back to you.
>> Simon: That's enough of this talk of near-death experiences. It was awful enough the first time.
>> Katie: I'm not afraid of death, Simon. The thing that scares me the most is losing you. That's why seeing you before the operation is my most memorable moment because -- if I didn't get to talk to you before, I -- I don't know if I would have had the strength to come back. Okay. I've told you mine. Now it's your turn. What is your most memorable moment?
>> Simon: Honestly? Right now. When you closed your eyes, took my hand and kissed it. That's it. Wha -- what?
>> Katie: You really can't think of one, can you?
Scene 3:
Location: Lakeview Towers Hotel
Scene: Hotel Lounge
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER
>> Simon: Is it really that important to you that I find just one thing?
>> Katie: Of course it is. You know why? Because we beat the odds. We stayed together when so many things were trying to pull us apart.
>> Simon: What, you don't think I know that?
>> Katie: Yes, of course you know it. But you're not acting like it. Can't you just think of one special thing?
>> Simon: That's what I'm trying to tell you, Katie. No! I can't think of just one thing.
>> Katie: How can you say that?
>> Simon: Because every single moment is amazing with you, big or small. Especially the smaller ones. Okay? For example, in the morning, when your hair's all messed up and you're still half dreaming with that little smile on your face? That's a moment. Or at night, when you pull the blankets all over to you, onto your side, and leave me hangin' in the breeze -- that's another moment. I could go on and on, but I can't pick just one moment. Because then you go and do something else which makes me totally change my mind again.
Scene 4:
Location: Lakeview Towers Hotel
Scene: Hotel Lounge
SIMON FRASIER, KATIE FRASIER, EMILY MUNSON
>> Simon: All right, maybe we're going about this the whole wrong way.
>> Katie: What, now you don't wanna celebrate our anniversary at all?
>> Simon: Of course I do. But it seems the most memorable moments for us happen when we're by ourselves. So why don't just you and me celebrate our anniversary together, privately?
>> Katie: No party?
>> Simon: Well, we'll have a party, all right.
>> Katie: Oh. Hmm. I think, perhaps, I could be persuaded. But where?
[ Keys jingle ] the convertible!
>> Simon: Do you wanna hit the road, Mrs. Frasier?
>> Katie: I'd love to. Mm. That's perfect. You're perfect. Let's go.
>> Katie: Hi, Emily.
>> Simon: Emily.
>> Emily: Hi.
>> Katie: Are you okay?
>> Emily: Huh? Yeah. No. I just got back from seeing Hal.
>> Simon: He's still on the road, huh?
>> Emily: Yeah, hot on the kids' trail.
>> Simon: What about Holden?
>> Emily: He's with craig, but they're -- they're short on leads. You know, I hate to ask this of you, but is there any chance maybe you can trace them down again?
>> Simon: Look, we -- we would love to, but we're kind of booked up right now.
>> Emily: Okay, I -- I understand. I'm sorry.
>> Katie: Emily, I -- I totally understand. She's your sister. Of course you love her. I love Lucy. She's my niece. And I understand how worried you are. But let me just tell you why I'm not worried out of my mind. Because I saw them with my own eyes, and they're totally fine. They're probably gonna be back before Christmas.
>> Emily: Christmas. That's like an eternity. You know, if it weren't for Daniel, I don't think I would even be thinking about it this year. I haven't put up a tree. I haven't bought a single present. Not that it's about presents, but -- I saw this sweater, you know, in a catalog. It was -- just reminded me so much of Ali. And -- I wanted to buy it for her, but I wasn't sure if I'm gonna -- I mean, when am I gonna see her again? Am I gonna see her?
>> Katie: Buy it.
>> Emily: Should I buy the sweater?
>> Katie: Emily, buy it. Put up a tree and put the sweater beneath the tree. Because it's those little things that get you through stuff like this. It's those little things that keep you strong.
