Scene 1:
Place: Deserted island off of the North Carolina coast - Atlantic Ocean.
Location: The cave.
SIMON FRASIER AND LILY FRASIER
>> Simon: We got a good wind. Clear skies. If the weather holds, it should be a good day tomorrow for our getaway.
>> Lily: How long do you think before someone spots us?
>> Simon: Who knows? Who knows? The first thing we gotta do is concentrate on getting past those riptides. Once we hit the
open water, it'll be a matter of days.
>> Lily: What if it's weeks?
>> Simon: Lily, do you have any idea how many boats are on the water at any given time?
>> Lily: Then how come we haven't seen any?
>> Simon: Because you got to get further out. You gotta get out into the shipping lanes. And once we do, a ship is bound to
spot us.
>> Lily: You're right. They'll find us. You're right.
[CELIA FRASIER OVERHEARS THEIR CONVERSATION]
>> Celia: So that's what they're up to. They're gonna leave me here all by myself. Well, two can play that game. I mean, all is
fair in love and war, isn't it? Oh, Simon, you've underestimated me for the last time.
Scene 2:
Location: The cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER
>> Lily: Okay. So, what do you think? What do you think -- has stronger bindings. Seems pretty good. I think we can get past
the currents with this. What you think?
>> Simon: Not bad at all. It's not quite the QE-2.
>> Lily: But it is stronger and more efficient than our last raft.
>> Simon: Yeah, well, we'll never know since it got ripped apart by that island nutbag.
>> Lily: Speaking of nutbags, do you think that we could put this under lock and key tonight -- to keep it away from Celia?
>> Simon: See, you're reading my mind again.
>> Lily: 'Cause you're thinking things that I wanna hear. Good job, Mr. Frasier.
>> Simon: Yeah, splendid effort, Mrs. Snyder. We make a pretty great team.
>> Celia: So the two of you think you're gonna leave me behind, huh? Oh, we'll see about that. Come to me, you beautiful,
bright babies. Yes, come here. I think it's time we set the world on fire. Okay. All right.
Scene 3:
Location: Cooley's Hut
CELIA FRASIER ALONE
>> Celia: The alternative to being abandoned is be the abandoner. Well, this should wake up our happy couple. Oh, simon.
Fire in the hole, boys!
Location: The cave.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRASIER
>> Lily: Well, I think we have everything. Now we just have to think of a way to tie down our most precious cargo.
>> Simon: Yes, I know exactly what you mean.
>> Lily: I was talking about us -- or at least me.
>> Simon: Lily, I promise, I will not let anything happen to you.
>> Lily: I'll hold you to that.
>> Simon: So you tell me -- what are you gonna take away with you from this little island?
>> Lily: Besides the horrible memories of being vulnerable and cold and stuck out in those storms and being forgotten in the
world. Except this, of course -- my birthday candle. This -- kind of a symbol of going home. It's more precious to me than that
diamond is to you. Symbolization -- the sound of cars going by or the smell of coffee brewing in the morning and -- ah, my
kids.
>> Simon: Yes. Yes, we are going home.
>> Lily: You know, I'm gonna kick myself for saying this, but -- what about Celia?
>> Simon: What about her?
>> Lily: Shouldn't we leave her some food? Tell her which tree is which? Which berries are poisonous?
[From a distant, Celia yells]
>> Celia: Simon! Simon, help! Simon, it's burning!
>> Simon: Do you smell that? That's smoke. And that's no campfire. Stay here.
Scene 4:
Location: Cooley's Hut - Burnt down.
LILY WALSH SNYDER AND SIMON FRAISER
>> Simon: Oh, no. Celia? Cel --
>> Lily: Celia? Celia!
>> Simon: Celia!
>> Lily: Be careful, Simon, please!
>> Simon: Can you see her? Anything?
>> Lily: No, no. Celia! Celia! Simon, just be careful. Maybe she ran off into the jungle somewhere. Maybe she's just gotten a
little scared. Careful. Simon?
>> Simon: Oh no. No, no, it couldn't be.
>> Lily: What?
>> Simon: Lily, she could be buried underneath any of this.
>> Lily: If she is, there's nothing you can do about it, Simon! Just stop! Stop! Just -- enough.
>> Simon: It's all my fault.
>>Lily: No.
>> Simon: I left her here alone.
>> Simon: I should've been here.
>> Lily: No! We'll find her, okay? Look at me. We'll find her. I promise. We will.
[Celia finds the raft in the cove.]
CELIA FRAISER
>> Celia: Look at this. There's enough food and water for the two of them. That should keep me going for at least a few weeks.
All right. Okay, now where's my ticket to a new life? Where are you? Where is it? Where did they put it? Where is it?
[Celia laughs]
>>Celia: Little boys have dreams at night always. [To the diamond] Hello, my beautiful, shiny ticket out of here. Are you ready
to go home? That makes two of us. I'm ready, too. Come on. Come on, my sweet, beautiful, shiny girl. Let's go. Let us go.
Thanks a million, my brother. Thanks a million. You know what? Better luck to you next go round, huh?
Scene 5:
Location: Cooley's Hut
SIMON FRASIER AND LILY SNYDER
>> Simon: Nothing.
>> Lily: I know.
>> Simon: Nothing. I've searched the entire east side of the island.
>> Lily: I checked everywhere, too. I know. I think she just disappeared out of thin air!
>> Simon: Disappeared -- no, escaped.
>> Lily: Escaped to where?
>> Simon: Knowing my sister , the devil only knows. All right, we gotta find anything. Anything that she might have left
behind.
>> Lily: What are we looking for? Oh, no, Simon. Simon! You gotta look at this. Come here!
>> Simon: "So long, brother dear!" That twisted freak! She set us up! She set us up!
>> Lily: How did she get off the -- Simon, the raft --
>> Simon: Oh, no, and the diamond -- the diamond. We have got to find her before she gets away!
Scene 6:
Location: The beach.
SIMON FRASIER AND LILY WALSH SNYDER
>> Simon: Lily, stop, stop!
>> Lily: No, don't, don't!
>> Simon: She's out too far to reach her.
>> Lily: No, this is not happening. This is not supposed to happen!
>> Simon: We'll find some other way.
>> Lily: How are we gonna find another way, Simon? All our food is on there! That is our raft. That was our chance to get off
this island. I'm her chance at revenge! Simon? Simon. I can't see her anywhere.
>> Simon: Did you see where she went?
>> Lily: No, the raft, it's gone. It must have gone under.
>> Simon: Celia!
>> Lily: You said the currents-- they were too strong. No! Simon, no! No, you're not going out there! No, no!
>> Simon: Lily, let me go! Lily, Celia's drowning! I've got to help her out!
>> Lily: I'm not gonna let you drown, too! I need you here, Simon! Look at me! And I need you alive! Please! Please! Look,
she's gone! Okay? And there's nothing you can do about it. It's too late. You can't save her.
>> Simon: Celia.
Scene 7:
Location: The cave.
SIMON FRASIER AND LILY WALSH SNYDER
>> Simon: How can she be gone?
>> Lily: Simon, I'm sorry that she's --
>> Simon: I cannot hear this now, all right?
>> Lily: This may make me sound hard, but I don't care. Because we have to do what we have to do to survive! And because
of you I am alive. Because of all of the things that you've done for me, I am here. So why don't you let me take care of you?
When was the last time somebody did that for you?
>> Simon: She's gone. She's really gone.
>> Lily: But we're still here. Look -- I'm still here. I'm here. You have me.
[Simon is in tears and they hug.]
